  • The new caprice will hopefully be solid like the older models that were once used. The fact that it will be RWD will be preferable for law enforcement use, as FWD is not practical, lots of repair issues as was the case with the Impala. I wonder what the new Ford Interceptor will be like with the FWD system.

  • @arlingo Saw a video review of the '91 Chevy Caprice. I was shocked as to how far behind they were; rear drum brakes, standard live axle rear end, and a pitiful 175 horsepower out of a 5-litre V8. Compare this to its Australian counterpart; 248hp V8, 4 wheel discs with ABS, independent suspension all round, and weighing in at some 3300 pounds. As opposed to the Chevy's almost 4000 pounds. It would be an unfair fight, as this "police Caprice" is a direct descendant of the Australian Caprices
