@Gargyl666 it isnt, the kanji on it says replica, its a joke to go with how he found the excalipoor instead of the Excalibur sword, as every sword he uses in 12 is a imitation of a sword from previous games, but not the real thing lol.

Okay, how the crap did I beat this game without getting any of the super sweet Genji armor or wicked powerful swords? I beat the game with Vaan wielding a God Save the Queen, Ashe had some spear, and Basch had an Axe. I remember playing FF7 and getting murdered in the end because my peeps were only like Lv 40. I guess this time having them up in the 70's helps a bit
I remember when I was playing this game. I didn't know about this theme beforehand, so while the battle was going on, I was wondering, why am I feeling so awesome? Why is this battle scene 10x more awesome than any of the other ones? Suddenly, I realized it was the music - a literal Holy SH** moment. At this point, I paused the game, just so I could listen to the music. Then I looked it up, and it became my favorite piece of music I've ever listened to.
@musicalbasics The same thing happened to me in the original FF5. The first battles with Gilgamesh, I didn't put attention to the music, just noticed "kinda nice music!" In the third battle, I listened. I went into a magic menu, so nobody could move, and spent around an hour listening to it. Then, later, I often went into the bestiary to listen to it again. So it became my favorite music piece, and Gilgamesh became my favorite character.
This song is one of the best Final Fantasy songs, ever composed. These songs are a reason pressing the "pause"- button only to listen to the music for 10 or more minutes ^^

While watching Star Wars Ep. 3 the last time, I noticed how similar Gilgamesh and General Grievous are. I mean, they both collect swords (I bet Gilgamesh would give his right arms for a lightsaber xD), they are both a kind of General (Gilgamesh was the leader of Exdeaths monsters in FF5), when you first meet them, they both have just two arms and fight with some kind of spear, later both have multiple arms and epic swords (xD), both of their names start with a G and both are awesome as hell :D
I would love to have Gilgamesh in KHII instead of Sephiroth...Sephiroth is so emo...And Gilgamesh is so lively and he's even humorous, I don't know why Square Enix would prefer Sephiroth...Sephiroth had a lot of screen time in KH and in FFVII. Square Enix should make a game telling the story of Gilgamesh`s travels around the FF world and how he`s searching to get the Excalibur or some other powerful sword. As they do so, they should make Gilgamesh crossover through the FF game story lines. Like how Gilgamesh didn`t appear in the original FF1 but then he did in the GBA remake in lifespring grotto. They should also include of how Gilgamesh got his sidekick Enkidu and why he accepted to help ExDeath in FF5. I`d buy it if it happens. :D
FFXIII from what I heard was a joke... Basicly an interactive movie... Now thanks to everyone for getting it, buying it, making it popular, we have XIII-2 comming out.
I will probably end up playing it and liking XIII but if XIII-2 is ANYTHING like what I heard about X-2, you can count me out of playing BOTH XIII and XIII-2.

@PARADOXADOR I'll give valid reasons of why FF12 sucks ass. 1. the story line felted like a cheap rip off of star wars. 2. for a 2006 game the battle system was utterly horrible, you have no freedom at controlling your characters beside moving them around. 3. you say that 10 voice acting was terrible? FF10 voice acting had more feeling than the sarcastic british fuck voice overs.
@lnfamousDog The battle system was a love and hate affair, I'm on the love side of the fence. The storyline was the main downside to it where at points it was near nonexistent.
The game gave you ABSOLUTE freedom so I don't know what in the bloody hell you're talking about. FF10 had some pretty crappy voice acting in all seriousness, it doesn't even get a pass for being the first with VA.
I think the ONLY point I can agree with in your argument is the story.
@TheObnoxiousMan By freedom I mean by battle system and equiping. Your forced to equip almost the same weapons that every one else could use which is pretty pathetic. The battle system is retarded and gives you less freedom to control your character, the only thing that happens is you lock on to a monster and watch them fight the whole time. And the voice acting for 10 was the best they could get in that time. Hearing the voice overs for xii was like a corny ass harry potter movie.
Every kind of weapon is very different in FFXII. Good luck against flyng-monsters having all characters with long-swords. If you say "lol, I use magic against flyng-monsters", that wouldn't work at all, because in order to have a good magician in FFXII you have to equip it with Staves or Rods (and light armors). If you want to have every character equipped with the same weapon,OK, but you can do variety of things by equipping different kinds of weapons,etc, thats FREEDOM
sadly the best parts of this game is the parts where they used music originally composed by Nubuo Uematsu. Final fantasy without nubuo is crap. FX-2 ( the black sheep of the saga) is evidence of this ( and all the games after X2.... but the musical score of X2 is a complete disaster and the composer deserves to die for it).
If Gilgamesh was in Kingdom Hearts, this is what I would picture...

Actually i`ve been thinking since 7/29/11 about starting a club on facebook to get like about 300,000-500,000 fans to make Square Enix make a game about Gilgamesh and the description I provided before. I hope theres a lot of fans out there though that might support it. how about we both start the club. :D or not... :/

Square Enix should make a game telling the story of Gilgamesh`s travels around the FF world and how he`s searching to get the Excalibur or some other powerful sword. As they do so, they should make Gilgamesh crossover through the FF game story lines. Like how Gilgamesh didn`t appear in the original FF1 but then he did in the GBA remake in lifespring grotto. They should also include of how Gilgamesh got his sidekick Enkidu and why he accepted to help ExDeath in FF5. I`d buy it if it happens. :D

FFXIII from what I heard was a joke... Basicly an interactive movie... Now thanks to everyone for getting it, buying it, making it popular, we have XIII-2 comming out.
I will probably end up playing it and liking XIII but if XIII-2 is ANYTHING like what I heard about X-2, you can count me out of playing BOTH XIII and XIII-2.

Also since I'm already continuing the conversation.... what do you mean by "if there's no story it's just masturbation". Firstly I don't think that self-sexual-pleasure has anything to do with combat in rpgs carrying the game. Many jrpgs and western rpgs have a mediocre story-line but a fantastic combat system that makes it all worthwhile.

@PARADOXADOR I'll give valid reasons of why FF12 sucks ass. 1. the story line felted like a cheap rip off of star wars. 2. for a 2006 game the battle system was utterly horrible, you have no freedom at controlling your characters beside moving them around. 3. you say that 10 voice acting was terrible? FF10 voice acting had more feeling than the sarcastic british fuck voice overs.

@lnfamousDog The battle system was a love and hate affair, I'm on the love side of the fence. The storyline was the main downside to it where at points it was near nonexistent.
The game gave you ABSOLUTE freedom so I don't know what in the bloody hell you're talking about. FF10 had some pretty crappy voice acting in all seriousness, it doesn't even get a pass for being the first with VA.
I think the ONLY point I can agree with in your argument is the story.

@TheObnoxiousMan By freedom I mean by battle system and equiping. Your forced to equip almost the same weapons that every one else could use which is pretty pathetic. The battle system is retarded and gives you less freedom to control your character, the only thing that happens is you lock on to a monster and watch them fight the whole time. And the voice acting for 10 was the best they could get in that time. Hearing the voice overs for xii was like a corny ass harry potter movie.

Every kind of weapon is very different in FFXII. Good luck against flyng-monsters having all characters with long-swords. If you say "lol, I use magic against flyng-monsters", that wouldn't work at all, because in order to have a good magician in FFXII you have to equip it with Staves or Rods (and light armors). If you want to have every character equipped with the same weapon,OK, but you can do variety of things by equipping different kinds of weapons,etc, thats FREEDOM

sadly the best parts of this game is the parts where they used music originally composed by Nubuo Uematsu. Final fantasy without nubuo is crap. FX-2 ( the black sheep of the saga) is evidence of this ( and all the games after X2.... but the musical score of X2 is a complete disaster and the composer deserves to die for it).

Though if he whould ever appear in KH he whould propably be as hard as Sephiroth (still haven't beat him in II) but I wonder if that's just a good thing considering that bought games are pretty damn easy (especially II).
