Our infrastructure is lagging behind Western Europe and Asia and needs to catch up. That bill probably includes more than just roads, but also highways, bridges and tunnels.

The dollar is the world's reserve currency. Our economy is the largest in the world. We can afford this. In the short-term at least.

I think all elderly should have wills & estate planning and contingencies in place BEFORE they become necessary, but I don't want my Parents having to speak to a government bureaucrat (stranger) just so they can continue to be eligible for Medicare. I wish that this health Insurance reform could stop the current abuses in the system, but it is unlikely to change.

I have a Job I have great health care and have no desire of the government to tell me what I can do with my families health care..You would have a different opinion if you were old and retired. Because if Douche Bags Health care is passed the old and retired people of Medicare would be cut off..And if have a job and wish to get your own health care...Obama will make it illegal to do so...I suggest you read the bill page by page like I have...Or go get a damn Job.

Well, it is like this. If they even try to take health care from the elderly, then what? The elderly will be forced to fall back on their children and even their grandchildren for assistance. Just how long do you think the elderly and the next two generations will put up with granny and granddad not having the health care that they were promised? The politicians would have three generations of Americans kicking their collective butts.

What do you mean? just imagine it from a mutual standpoint. The government has been taking over all of these businesses and making other jobs run for cover overseas taking jobs with them. Do you think healthcare only by the government (because other agencies will run for cover and the government hates competition) would be a good thing? republicans and democrats they promise jobs and tell you how much they care for you and then they vote on bills like TARP to give banks trillions. Jobs have been going overseas for yrs, open you eyes shenmueryu. Private healthcare insurance companies don't want the competition. I have dealt with private ins for 31 or 32 yrs. I just retired and husband has been retired. Since having to pay the last 7 on his ins alone, went up sky high and getting worse. They will not lose their profits, just keep raising his to break even. Then watch, what if emergency happen they can deny you med attention. We need something.

And under Obama's energy bill it is projected 82,000 more jobs will go overseas to foreign farmers to grow trees in countries that have no climate regulations at all. That's 82,000 AMERICAN farmers jobs that will be lost for nothing more than appeasing the world and issueing apologies...The COB has already said this Health bill will cost Americans 1.6 Trillion dollars in new taxes...You can pay my share...I have great insurance as it is.....

My husband and I have ins off each other. He has to pay the last 7 yrs when they got greedy. I don't so I am lucky. I am thinking about the others that ain't so lucky. I just retired and fortunate to have no dept and own everything I have. I am so glad you have ins FatherJudge. But some people are not as good off as us. I can tell you are republican.
