So cool! Amazing! You wouldn't by chance have (or know of/seen) any film of A.C/Boardwalk in the early 1980's would you? My step-dad worked @ Resorts International from 1981-83 & I spent my summers there. We lived in the Seaside Inn (next to Resorts). I was 11yo & it was the best, most memorable time in my life. I can't find so much as a single damn picture of the boardwalk during that time. I went back in 92 & was sad/disappointed. I had some fun, but everything was so different/gone.
Is this States Avenue in the 1960s? It looks like the car is leaving a motel I remember on States (Symphony? Melody? I can't quite remember the name.) My grandmother had an apartment house on States.
yoy great Video its really nice to have videos like this you can look back on them and remeber so much ... I love how the picture machine place was right beside the drabdeymoos 2 bussineses in one!
This is an absolutely fantastic video of what Atlantic City, NJ looked like before the casinos came to town! I watched the whole thing! I still go there and shoot video, but I remember the place like it was in this video! I love the scenes that were shot from the boat! You can see the old Atlantic City Convention Hall and the Traymore Hotel! Thank you for sharing!
When I was a little boy I used to go fishing with my Dad at Capt Starns. I go Woody Hermans autograph one summer. We were always there with the Easter Parade. I saw the diving horse. One day my mom was laying on the beach and was going to go swimming. I yelled to her to stop. I saw police cars on the boards. I went up and looked down and the water was loaded with sharks.
This is a beautiful film. Thanks for sharing it. I grew up in Atlantic City back in the day, and I miss it so much. But the Atlantic City that I love is gone forever.
Thanks for the wonderful post! Mom grew up there until her family moved to Mass when she was 16, I used to go there every summer since the 70's growing up, and just came back yesterday from yet another trip. The steel Bell, my grandfather went underwater to fix while it was full of kids and it had got stuck. I think my favorite place in the world is Atlantic City.
They would subdue all races on Earth. Bactrius and India would become Macedonian provinces. Getting closer to the Greeks, he reminded them that those were the people who provoked war with Greece, ... those were the people that burned their temples and cities ... As the Illirians and Trakians lived mainly from plunder, he told them to look at the enemy line glittering in gold ..."
This is a wonderful video that I am putting in my favorites. It is a sweet and bitter video experience because you reflect on the good old days when life was so much simpler and then you come back to now and see all that has been lost. Change is inevitable but some change is NOT good.
This is a new format that reflects the new shift of Focus for the Mission from Explanation and answering the questions by Maitreya, to direct Revelation by God, starting 6/2/07 and ending 7/7/07. In these two sessions, God confirms the Revelations Revealed to humanity by Maitreya and clarifies His positions in many topics. These two Revelations finish the Revelations entrusted to Maitreya and express His Pleasure of these Revelations brought by Maitreya in their Purest form to humanity
Very tastefully put together. I have to agree with everyone here. Everyone in those days lived life to the fullest and they all had so much class and respect for each other. I don't think I'm related to any one of you (I'm not sure) but thanks for sharing these videos with everyone. I really enjoy watching these videos. I wish I had some of my papo's videos today so I can share them too. Best wishes and god bless.
That is a great film. Brings back so many memories of old AC. Stel Pier, The Claridge, Capt Starns. the Globe. The Shelburne, The Traymore. Loved it. I loved AC back then. We were lucky kids to grow up in AC. We had fun stuff at our fingertips.

Such wonderful memories. My dad owned Green's Army & Navy on Ohio & Atlantic. Wish A.C. was still the same as it was back in the 60's.

Great flick but would be more effective with an age appropriate soundtrack.
