  • yeah...fight for freedom or die in the process!!!

  • Why RT is not taking interview of Chavez ????

  • This man is very charismatic(but then again, so was Hitler). But there's something obviously wrong with his governance; his country and its citizens shouldn't be so poor. I personally don't think he took the presidency with bad intentions, but power have a tendency of corrupting even the best of us.

  • @cyberbar20

A coup attempt by George Bush and sanctions. Actually, considering all of that and what the US puppets did to Venezuela before Chavez became president, he's doing a great job.

  • @AfriSynergy so then i should say great job Chavez, for increasing poverty, for closing down most independent media outlets, and for securing the title for Caracas as the murder capital of the world. Thumbs up!! Whatever sanctions the US impose on him can be mitigated by him stopping the supply of oil, so its not like he doesn't hold any chips. Oh yeah, and he just eliminated term limits, so lets see how long its gonna take for the people to realize that hes the next Gaddafi or Mubarak.

  • @cyberbar20

You're can't be taken serious if you think Caracus is the "murder capital of the world". Gaddafi is a GREAT man and if Chavez strives to be more like Gaddafi, I applaud him.

  • @AfriSynergy ok so it didnt top the list this year like it did in 2009. but its still within the top ten "...experts underline that the murder ratio has increased by 67% since President Chavez took control over the country." - Google it! I dont have time to argue with you. if the people in the country is fighting against their leader, obviously hes doing something wrong. you're praising these people but im sure you would live in their countries

  • @cyberbar20

I've lived in the country of Mexico. Not shy about doing the same with Venezuela. Who was shipping military guns to Mexico? Why wouldn't they do the same in Venezuela? Perhaps you will never understand because you don't know the history that I know; you don't know much about destabilizing forces that operate south of the border with a home base in the USA.

  • @AfriSynergy you dont know what i know and understand. but i do know that if these people were doing the right thing by their people, external forces wouldnt have so much influence to destabilize the country. i dont believe in conspiracies or hear-say; i believe in numbers & facts, and right now numbers and facts say that Venezuela is in trouble. if you cant or dont see that, then i can't help you.

  • @cyberbar20

Sure I do. What you have said so far on this topic reveals quite a bit about you. The truth is that great countries and people have been destroyed because external corporations wanted to suck the economic life out of their people. If you knew history, you would know this. Any country that nationalizes its strategic resources is in trouble, that's the fact. I'm not looking for your help, you landed here.

  • @AfriSynergy honestly, i dont know much about Venezuela history but i do care about the people who are suffering today and about the govt slow response to the problem. I'm not denying America's involvement in what happened to Venezuela. but neither you or me can truly prove the extent of our involvement."Any country that nationalizes its strategic resources is in trouble, that's the fact." With this(your) comment i would like to know, is Venezuela's oil industry nationalized?

  • @cyberbar20

Yes, the oil industry has been nationalized. The people were far worse when American and European corporations were getting large percentages off of the oil. This is why the US government is an enemy of Venezuela. Do you know how Gaddafi turned Libya around economically after a bloodless coup 41 years ago? It included the removal of European and American oil corporations from ownership of Libyan oil. Chavez has done the same.

  • @cyberbar20

Also, a few months after Bush became president, his administration conspired in a coup attempt against Chavez. On a different note, I would be more concerned about what's soon going to happen to the US dollar, it's going to be greatly devalued.

  • @AfriSynergy Remember, if America falls so does the rest of the world. The economic melt down which we're still trying to recover from has proved just that. So I wouldn't really worry too much. Chavez can do and say as he likes, but if the US stops buying his oil 2morrow he's screwed. We are his biggest trading partner after all. Thats the reason he can't and won't cut off the supply to the US.

  • @cyberbar20

The American system as it exists need to fall in order for it and the world to move forward. The corruption and viciousness of the international bankers is quite evident.

  • @AfriSynergy that's your opinion, i wont argue with you. however, i would like to hear your response to the first message. because it seems to me that Chavez is doing something wrong nationalizing the oil industry. you seemingly agree that he is: "Any country that nationalizes its strategic resources is in trouble, that's the fact." Yet you defend him, even though the people in his country are suffering. so help me out, what is it that i need to understand?

  • @cyberbar20

Nationalizing certain industries is a good thing, not bad. The people of Venezuela were far worse prior to nationalizing the oil than they are now. I mentioned Libya because its people has a high standard of living because they have ownership in their oil. Prior to them having that ownership, they were dirt poor while European and American corporations were taking most of the money.

  • @AfriSynergy you said the condition of the people was worse when the America and European countries were in control of the oil. i dont really agree, but i will say that i do believe that a country should have control over its own natural resources. Since Chavez took control, how many businesses have closed, without replacement? how many media outlets(radio and tv stations) have been shut down for being critical of his rule? is their even a middle class in that country anymore??

  • @cyberbar20

Businesses which had their feet upon the heads of the people need to close. Sanctions applied by the US and its allies is intended to hurt certain businesses and even the people. It's intended to put pressure on the people so that they put pressure on the government. Again, remember, Chavez was democratically elected when the US played a role in an attempt to overthrow him. Media that collaborate with enemy needs to be closed down.

  • why Jewish Hide and Cover Native American Holocaust in Jewish Media --- of 100 Million people

and brag about their 6 Million dead jews --- who were gonna die any way by

    C.A.D. Capitalist Aids disease

  • @watup2154

    Good comment.

  • Even Larry King said few days ago in his own interview with Pears Morgan CNN that Chavez is terrific! and that USA needs a man like him as President. I agree with you Larry! blessed cotton sox! you are a great man.

  • Non can fight the truth!! peace to chavez and surinam!!

  • big brother there on 4:03-4:12. george orwell is rolling in his grave!

  • En salud en escuelas??? freaking liarrr!!!!

  • if you go to a supermarket you have to buy whatever they have and can't chose cuz some food aparently "dissappear", the health areas are in charge of cuban doctors that don't even know how to use the equipments they've got.... I don't wanna keep cause it really hurts to talk like this about my dear Venezuela but I can't help myself and wonder. Is it really all his fault or are we venezuelans the ones to blame for not kicking his butt out... whatever the case i dont like this joke of a president

  • There's no need to study politics to see how bad of a president he is... and the worst part many people are just getting used tothe situations we are in and giving up. There's water and energy rationing in the country, the criminal rate has increased(the police seems always to be involve they are worst than the thieves sometimes) there's hunger on the streets, lack of profetionals in the goverment (insteed just corrupts)

  • great president!!!

  • I don't see a solid Larry King in this interview.

  • damn right. US is supporting a genocidal state.

  • chavez is absolutely right. all he does is philanthropic. if only all countries were run so well. what's wrong in venezuela is the greed of the rich who want to remain in power. chavez wins elections fairly. don't listen to propaganda.

  • @cheworks You're very naive and ignorant.

  • @irokobe23 my friend, open your eyes. you are damn naive if you think Chavez is anything but a saviour. He has the guts to stand up for the truth.

  • @cheworks And where are you from? Man, I'm from Venezuela and I know what we're living over there. Don't try to tell me to open my eyes because I've had it open for over 10 years and this bastard is destroying our beloved country. It's been 12 bad years of administration. This guy is a genocide, corrupt and he careless about his people. All that images that he's trying to show internationally is crap. He's a lier.

  • @irokobe23 then you must be one of those who was better off before Chavez became leader. Let's face it, it's all about the people who have less money now than they did before. If you indeed were not better off financially before Chavez then you must be one of the brainwashed who believes in free market capitalism and despotism.

    LONG LIVE THE BOLIVARIAN REVOLUTION.

correct me if I'm wrong by the way.

  • @cheworks No, I'm not. The only people who are better now are the ones who are connected with Chavez politically or with the military forces. That's a very low percentage of the population and the way they're better with him is taking advantage of the median class and lower class. The rich will always be rich with or without Chavez. I'm not brainwashed, you're the one who is. Chavez is the biggest president capitalist in the history of Venezuela. Actions speak louder than words.

  • @cheworks If you still believe that there's a revolution or what he calls the "socialism of the 21st century" which hasn't been defined by him or anybody else, please tell me. How has Venezuela improved since he became president. I challenge you because with have a civil war that nobody knows outside of Venezuela. More than 16,000 homicides reported this year. When he became "only" 3,900. More poverty, every year the economy goes worst, less quality of education and by the way...

  • @irokobe23 I really need to go to bed, so I'll give you the short answer. How does he keep winning elections? Are those rigged, I suppose?

  • @cheworks Ok, how is that the president of the CNE the day after he "wins" the election becomes vice-president? Every time he wins there's no celebration on the streets. How is that people who died over a decade voted? They're registered, therefore they used to voted. He also bought the Supreme court so every time he makes a decision it doesn't have to go trough votes now. What kind of democracy is that? Corruption in Venezuela is horrible, and everybody in the power have a price. It's a shame.

  • @irokobe23 Chaos is caused so that people can take their minds off of what's really happening and dwell on the negative. How is it Chavez's fault that crime is up? It's not up because of poverty. It's up because of the chaos and the propaganda. Why is it that almost everyone against Chavez is right wing? Why do so many socialists embrace him? Why are so many nations that are against the US with him? Is this mere coincidence?

  • @cheworks What socialist embrace him, man? He's not a socialist, he doesn't believe that. If he did, he would be the first leading by example. Not with his fancy lifestyle. The crime is up because poverty is up and there's not enough security because police man are corrupt too. If they get somebody with a weapon in Venezuela, you can pay certain amount of money to the police man and be free. Without even going to jail. He has caused this chaos by the disorganization and corruption of his gov.

  • @cheworks $9,400 billion dollars in weapons and according to Russian sources isn't about to stop. More than $350 billion he "gave" to other countries when more there's so much misery in Venezuela. Again, I challenge you to tell me how Venezuela has improved since he's our president. I'll be waiting.

  • @irokobe23 I only know enough about venezuela to answer in a general sense. I have never been to Venezuela. But I'll remind you that every time the rich or upper middle classes are threatened there is chaos caused by the ones who have the power (not Chavez, but the rich). You say the rich will always be the rich, but I don't agree. An example of that is when all the rich wer either killed or deported in Cuba. So never say never.

  • @cheworks If you have never been i can understand that you don't know the reality we're going through, but he does a great job selling internationally his "revolution" but this guys have destroyed Venezuela. It's not what it used to be 10 years ago. By the way, the people who he put to work with the electricity and water in Venezuela has done such a bad job that people will go without electricity and water for days. A lot of people need that to work to simply eat man, everyday. Colombia offered

  • @irokobe23 It is a great thing that he's trying to get rid of private ownership. the people he put there did a bad job? Why? Don't tell me that it's because he picked his buddies to work there. were they unskilled labour? maybe he wanted the regular person to work there. But it sounds a bit suspicious that they're doing a bad job. maybe it's being sabotaged. I sympathise with your hardship, but you may need to look at other reasons why it is so bad.

  • @cheworks The nations with him are the ones he's buying giving them millions and millions or that share the same dictatorship idea with him. He does pick his buddies, what a militar guy knows about engineering? He puts a bunch of ignorant people in charge of important positions because he wants to make sure those people are with him forever. Of course, all of them have the biggest houses, best cars, nicest yatch. Sabotaged? Man, he fired everybody there who where capable, never we had this.

  • @cheworks You know who he hired now, a militar guy from Cuba. Why? We have enough capable people in Venezuela to work on that. Great engineers. He brings doctors from Cuba which are not prepared and don't know how to use the latest technology in medicine. We have thousands of doctors who extremely prepared and are not earning more than somebody who teach kinder Garden in the states. I wish you'd live. work and handdle the everyday of Venezuela for only 1 month. I bet you will change your mind.

  • @cheworks You have been defending him, excusing him supposing possible scenarios and I'm giving you facts. I'm yet waiting for you to tell me how he has improved something in Venezuela in the last 12 years. That's a lot of time for a president to at least make a positive change in a country. The only reason why I'm debating this with you is because I want people to open their eyes of what we're going through in Venezuela. Have a good night and I'll wait your further responses as well.

  • @cheworks Colombia offered the help and he rejected. He doesn't care about his people, his country. He only cares about domination and getting richer. He's a megalomaniac.

  • @irokobe23 I'll wait for further responses. i need to go to bed. goodnight.

  • @cheworks yes asshole come live in Venezuela before shit starts coming out of your mouth. The lack of safety on our streets is unbelievable, Bs. isn't worth anything and every company is leaving the country because he's expropriating every private property that he feels he wants to steel. He has an amazing charism that fools any idiot. This country is falling apart do some research before you start defending a thief that has given all of our money to other countries while we are worse by the day

  • fuck tba fucking asshole chavez is a fucking cheater he has re elected himself when he shouldnt most venezuela hates him

  • I wonder how much money the U.S. could save if it stopped all aid , military expenditures, and cut all funding to internal departments by 10%. Two Trillion dollars a year without raising taxes. No wonder only the USA and England are the only nations in the world with AAA international. rankings. To your credit on the other hand it would take a president with the will to say no to the house of representatives, which is not going to happen.

  • @lostend1

    Good comments.

  • The biggest buisness in america is war, since the civil war, nothing has driven the economy faster

  • Other than the Oil industry and disposable income, of course. After all how many times has Hugo been stopped from buying American weaponry?

  • that is huge truth..and if anyone doubts the integrity of this country..ask yourself when can you remember in your own life that america was not at war...dont nobody have that many enemies unless you yourself are doing foul things to other nations

  • @lostend1 yea that's what Ron Paul was talking about, if we froze the expenses we don't really need at the moment it could save us alot.

  • @lostend1

afrisynergy what is the name of the song playing at the very beginning i love it.

  • That bastard Bush I criminal told Sadam that if he invades Kuwait he will respect the sobereign desicion of Iraq then killed 500 thousand people in the war. But before that former president Reagan was talking about make the USA energy independent then after he got shot by someone; the same asshole vice president Bush took charge an they forgot the issue; today thanks to its son and the asshole criminals of the pentagon the USA economy is broke and with 13 trillion dollars debts...

  • In USA they call democracy to force people to pay taxes but not to vote; at the end those liars criminals in power are stealing the money taxes to spend 700 dollars on military communist corruption and did broke the country and the markets of its own neighbors. Now almost a trillion dollars debt with CHina for beeing assholes...

  • The other half of the story is that Bush Sr. wasn't going to push Saddam out of Kuwait had Margaret Thatcher of Britain not started quacking. Britain remains a tool of the Zionists.

  • What Venezuelans should be asking is why is our leader buying weaponery from Russia?Isnt the economy more important?

  • He's buying weapons because there are some big bad boogiemen in the neighborhood who would love to take his government out. This includes some neocons in the USA. The US will not provide replacement equipment for American military equipment, therefore, Chavez buy from Russia and elsewhere.

  • There is no economy if one of the neighboring countries being supplied with weapons and US military bases overthrow or destabilizes Venezuela.

  • And ill destroy Chavez with one quote,

    UNDHC- Article 17.

•(1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.

•(2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.

Tell me again how socialism is correct?

  • This means he CANNOT take property away from those who earned it.Same goes for any of the 192 countries part of the UN.

  • No one have the right to wrongfully "own" the property of others. Chavez is beloved in his country because he protected many of the landless people from the greed of the investor and ruling class.

For the most part, the UN has no problem with Chavez.

  • Comment removed

  • Chavez is what we call a populist president, if the lower class people support him, which are the core of any country, he doesn't give a... of what the oligarchies think. Shabab, let me tell you that Mexico has more deaths than Irak, Afghanistan and Venezuela combined... yeah amazing i know... drugs will do that. Not a big supporter of this guy, but got to admit he completely destroyed king throughout the whole interview!

  • most of you here dont even know what you are talking about. First, i advise all of you to have international political experience as a career and after 15 years of this, then you can talk about politics. I know it sounds like something fun to talk about but if you dont have experience just dont talk.

After Chavez the countries treasury is less than 50% vs. before chavez, and now Caracas is the capital with most deaths in world! AND Chavez is a natural born liar...ask any psycologist.

  • Shabab,

In the game of geopolitics, one should understand cause and affect. Coup orchestrated by Bush Admin. but ultimately fails. What then would be Plan B? Let's try economics, often called sanctions, officially or unofficially. We've seen it for over 50 years with Cuba. In other words, you try to create an unstable financial and social situation in the country.

Venezuelans love Chavez in spite of the Investor Class's attempt to economically strangle the country into submission.

  • How on earth can some people say Hugo Chavez is hated by his people?

If referenda are included, he's the most elected man on the planet!! All of those elections being free and fair, with no criticism coming from outside countries (most notably the U.S.)

And he's a socialist, not a communist (not that communism is necessarily bad).

Anyone who doesn't know the difference between the two is clearly another brainwashed U.S. citizen.

  • Well said.

  • Well Hugo Chavez is certainly hated by Iranian people for supporting Ahmadinejad who kills tortures and drugs it's citizens.

  • Iranians would be wise in not being as stupid as some of the Iraqis were when the collaborated with the neocons of America, resulting in the deaths of more than a million Iraqis, and we're still counting.

  • huh??!!

what the hell is that has to do with the subject that I brought???!!

  • Lol, Hugo Chavez is a cult hero in Iran; his name is written all over towns and cities in Iran due to his support for the Palestinian people. Who told you they hate him? Fox News?

And the Iranian people love Ahmadinejad. The recent protests you saw against him were from the bourgeoisie.

Just like with Chavez, everything about Ahmadinejad is distorted by the Western media. For example, look up the official transcripts of his UN speeches and compare what he said to what the media reported.

  • I for a fact know you're lying, as I was in Iran during the protests. Thus, I'm not even going to respond to the 8 million figure. You destroyed your own argument with that (in addition to your childish swearing).

If you read and listen to trash, you generally talk it as well. I feel sorry for you; the media has grabbed another victim. And you're blocked now, so no point throwing more swear words at me. But feel free to carry on, so others can see the type of intellect that hates Chavez.

  • no wait you were in "United Kingdom" when they were protesting in Iran remember??

I WAS in Iran. You're not even Iranian shut the hell up.. even if you were, you probably get paid from terrorists to defend terrorists on you tube.

    You're full of shit

    LMAO @ you

    Nice try loser. Now Bye.

  • Americans created the Saddam brought him to power instigated him to attack Iran gave him weapons, ammunitions and chemical weapons to use against Iranians and Iraqi after using Saddam they spit on his face and killed him.

That is what USA is a United Snakes of Anarchy stands for hypocrisy double standards lie cheat and deceit. Death to all the Islamic traitors and America ass kissers including shah and Saddam this is what happen to these assholes first they use them then they spit on them

  • That's your analogy okay then..

You can believe in your lies..

  • It is true, the US use those who are ignorant and arrogant enough to allow themselves to be used to their own detriment and of their country. We see it happening in Afghanistan right now. America has two faces and one of them is very evil and is a tool of international gangsters.

  • Listen poopy head!!. Chavez 's administration has squandered $950 BILLION DOLLARS in ten years. Nothing, absolutely nothing positive is going on in Venezuela. Health care is a joke and poverty is at his highest level. The majority of people do not approve his policies and his failure "Revolution" is a sack of lies. He is a Freaking lier and a shyster. Just go to Banco Central de Venezuela web site and analise the check and balance reports.

  • @primuschimpus Hey man, you don't know what you're talking about. Stop trying to look like you know what you're talking about, don't be ignorant.

  • Viva Chavez!!

  • BUllshit!!!!! Horseshit, come and see where is the EDUCATION or HEALTH budget he's talking about, this all sucks...Obama and clinton worry about poverty??? what about your country you cynical freak!!! Venezuela has poverty!! People die here of hunger!! Shit!!!

  • Under Chavez those who want to go to college can go free.

There is poverty and hunger in America. Let's not forget that Venezuela has provided free oil for seniors in the US during the winter for those who cannot afford the Wall Street inspired high price in fuel.

It is good to see Chavez make some of you so animated....... Chavez is beloved by the overwhelming majority of his people. Great interview!!

  • Yes!

  • bull shit! he is a comunist he is like fidel castro a desgrace to the country

  • Communist does not make a leader bad. Hugo Chavez is beloved by so many and hated be a noisy few. Castro stood the test of time, a resounding indication of the person. What's happening to pure capitalism in America? Don't be deceived by old slogans regurgitated by another generation.

  • chavez is the biggest liar ever, he openly hates the US, but still sells the US oil and why? bc if he doesn't Venezuelas economy would collapse, as simple as that.

  • The flip side is that the US buys Venezuela's oil because its economy would collapse more if it did not. All citizens of Venezuela receive a free college education.

  • Yeah and free indoctrination too. I know PLENTY of Venezuelan exiles who are far from being wealthy, and who had to flee their country because they were actively persecuted by the Chavez government. Some of them were college students whose life were made miserable for opposing Chavez's communist ideas. What is he doing with the oil wealth? Buying weapons and bribing politicians around Latin America, while the people remain poor. Look at what Dubai has done with their oil wealth!!!

  • Sepp,

Immigrants of many countries play the game in order to remain in a hosting country. They cannot speak highly of the leader of their country if the host country's policy is against that leader. If they do, they could be denied residency in the host country, be they rich, poor or other.

Chavez should buy Russian and other weapons. Why? The US coup attempt. The US refusal to sell military spare parts for US military equipment.

No US coup attempt in Dubai.

  • I am a college student, the majority of Venezuelans who are there in the U.S., have money and send them to study there, the majority here has a Blackberry cell phone and a at home pc with Internet, many people buy new cars all days, come to watch here that we live better than you in the U.S.

  • Most of what you have stated is right on point.

  • sooo true!

FUCH YUOU CHAVEZ my mom is venezuelan and there people does not live well my cousins live there.. people there are miserables beacuse of him

  • We all know that more people have come out of poverty under Chavez. Perhaps your mom and cousins should try harder and if they collude with those who have impoverished Venezuela for a very long time, why should they be empowered in order to bring back the thieves of the past?

  • FUCK YOU, u fuckin greedy, conniving, SCUMBAG CAPITALIST

  • i want him for my president

  • ooo he is such a good actor, he is saint, a hero, a wise man, compassionate, hahaha

    BULLSHIT

    what an egominiatic rich dictator

trust me I've followed his actions the last 4years..nothing to do with this paid propaganda

  • I know there is a strong resistance to nuclear energy, even in some countries that benefit from it. The sticky point is the storing of nuclear waste, very nasty stuff. Until strong alternatives are provided, nuclear energy will remain on the table.

  • they really should have gotten a better translater or taken more time to get the wording right, the "dubbing" is pretty terrible

  • I would say because leading economic nations already have them. Of course, no new ones have been built in the US for a very long time.

  • 4 millions remaining? Damn, we should fix that.

Who the fuck ask you that Chavez?

  • Are you an idiot? STFU you should be "FIXED" bastard.

  • good man here.....
