what is difference between autocad 2010 and revit 2010

@shamelessxxx autocad just lets u draw and revit helps u view rendering of the project ur working on revit is the future for architecture just like autocad was once

@shamelessxxx With autocad you only draw pictures. Basically just lines with no meaning. With revit the lines store information that is related to buildings and architecture.

Revit is a copy of Archicad from Graphisoft - which was realsed in 1990, Revit - 2008, theres too many details in Revit that are not needed, alot of junk.

revit is becoming a new favorite for architecture students. I worked with autoCAD for 2 years, but it has way too many features that architect's don't need. I will have to learn Revit.

Im an architecture student as well, and we also love Google Sketchup....but Revit is more accurate as far as building info.
