  • The technique described is incorrect. What you have described (humeral external rotation combined with abduction and horizontal abduction) maximally stresses the anterior capsule and significantly increases the risk of injury for beginners and individuals lifting at a high intensity. The shoulder press should be performed with elbows approximately 30 degrees anterior to the shoulder in the plane of the scapula to minimize stress to the anterior glenohumeral joint capsule. Far from "perfect, pe

  • perfect? he does go more than 90 degrees. haha

  • Forms wrong mate.

hes just recruiting most of his triceps by stopping at 90degrees and going all the way too the top.

  • @oscarhollywood You are wrong Bro, the deeper you go down the more you activate the triceps. All your doing is putting extra stress on the front delts as soon as you go lower that 90 degrees.

Do you r homework Mr. Hollywood

Well your not saying wrong to me, your saying it to 6 - time Mr Olympia Dorian Yates who is renowned by using logic when he explains an exercise, which is how i just explained why doing it as above, is placing more stress on the tricep.

You also just owned yourself in your own "argument" (and i use that word very loosely in your case) as the shoulder is meant to be under stress. Going lower places more on the shoulder...

Also going up past 3/4 is too much tricep also.

  • @oscarhollywood Maybe thats why Mr. Olympia has shoulder problems and cannot do pressing movemetns and has to use machines for his chest. Second of all Dorian is on roids. He can hang upside down from a tree and do curls and still get big. Your remark about the shoulder being meant to be under that type of stress is totally absurd. Read anything on rotator cuffs and you will find just how WRONG you are.
