working example; i have a friend who sets up a shoot using a digital cam for the lighting and such and then uses a manual nikon with film for the final quality... and in truth, unless you can do a great shoot on a manual using film and then take it to the studio to develope it, then you are not really a photographer
the company just needs to get out of the common market and target professionals who still use film
Relax, times are not that dark, stop the hype man. Talk to the better galleries about the rising value of a hand made print, not some computer generated garbage. Then, attend Look3 / Festival of the Photograph in Virginia this year, lots of great work, great photographers and lots of work shot on film. I shoot both film and digital, always will, because I am not just another guy with a camera shooting pictures of leaves, I am a real photographer.
