kevin, you are a d**k. the nhl was actually afraid that some of the wha teams were too good. that is why they made the winnepeg jets trade away some of their best players! and of course all the nhl fans were excited to see the likes of Robbie Ftorek, and of course wayne gretsky, amopng others.

@bluehen111 I agree is some respects, but that was Gretzky's opinion. If the old WHA Boston Whalers were to play the Boston Bruins from that time period it would have been a loss. it's all opinions, some people believed Gretzky was the greatest, but we all know that title belongs to MR. ORR. but for real I grew up in western Massachusetts and it was always great to watch the Bruins and the Whale battle it out. hopefully they get their team back and renew the New England hockey rivalry.
