This important part of history is not known among most of the younger generations (mainly known only to those who had the history passed down to them by older generations who know about it). I was told about The Hungry Mile by a grandmother of mine who grew up and lived for a good number of years in Millers Point.
I forgot who our Premier was as he seems to have dropped off the radar, especially over more important issues of federalising our hospitals, which is very dangerous.
stopchemtrails-This is an amazing part of our history. This area tells the history of so many men and their families-it's something that people today find difficult to comprehend-of abject poverty for so many families when the men couldn't work.I'm pleased that the name will now be there forever I hope!We need to know our past so we can learn from it and plan for our future.Must never be allowed to happen again. Many of these men died of preventable diseases like asbestosis.Well done MUA
