  • I recommend all of these young women to watch this movie

  • "LA PUBLI-CI-TIE!!"

    HIlarious!!

  • They were lifelong rivals, but Norma Shearer wasn't HALF the talent or HALF the beauty and sex appeal that Joan was.

  • Mary Boland was... Oh, who am I kidding?... They were ALL fantastic!... "Get me a bromide... And put some GIN in it!... LOL

  • Get me a bromide.....and put me some GIN in it!

  • This film was the first time my brown eyes ever set on Paulette Goddard and from then on they couldnt wander further.

    I'm in lurrrrrvvv!

  • joan crawfords great

RITA HAYWORTHS GINGER ROGERS WHO THE FUC R THEY? lol ther movi nowhere on youtube like Joan thanks

  • Why is this "Part 1"? This is like the end.

  • i've wached this whole movie right here on youtube a few years back and now is nowhere to be found, darn censors

  • @ScinLaeca358 Yes. This is a few minutes from the end. I would like to it in it's entirety. Thank you

  • 'Countess de Lave' is based on the real life Countess Dorothy di Frasso, a famous bon vivante and party-giver on both coasts who's lovers included Gary Cooper and Bugsy Sieagel.

  • Thanks so much,I've seen this a few years back, been searching long time...

    I adore this movie

  • Merci! What fun, and thanks for the insights.

  • "Oh the publicity, LA PUB-LI-CI-TAY!"

    LMAO!!!!

  • Isn't the Countess de-vine? Particularly when she says, after one of her husbands pushed her down the mountain in a murder attempt, "I was half way down the mountain before I realized my ______didn't love me anymore." LMAO!!!! too. L'amour,L'amour. " That's French for love. Cheers!

  • Countess de Llave. Llave rhymes with love, but it means "wash" in French. Remember she owns a soap company.

  • This is one of my all time favorite movies..the dialogue, the first rate delivery....and oh...the costumes..if only we had such fashion and style now. What fun to glide across the floor in one of those evening gowns..wearing of course, Jungle Red nail polish!

  • Didn't Adrian do the gowns? I saw one of his creations (LOL) in San Fran a few years ago. I hope he got combat pay working with Crawford.

  • I love the Countess: "Get me a bromide, and put some gin in it." LOL

These women can "crack ice at thirty paces"

  • This is one of my favorite lines from the movie.

  • You just can't replace the original. The ending words sum it up!!

  • Trust me, you can definitely wait.

  • What were these women really like? I wrote a firsthand account of life on an exclusive 1940s Reno divorce ranch, THE DIVORCE SEEKERS. Never-before-published photos bring to life the stories of these Eastern socialites and blue bloods who came "out West" for six weeks, fell in love, and some who stayed. There is also a clip from an interview I did with Fox for the re-release of CHARLIE CHAN IN RENO -- another good divorce movie! You Tube search words: "Charlie Chan in Reno." -Bill McGee, Author

  • It's been remade... and it's probably going to stink to high heaven.

  • I said the same thing...I see the coming attractions on tv and it makes me sick...I have a friend that sees every movie that comes out and she'll probably think it's wonderful...She loves newer movies like I like the old ones..or I should say I like the GOOD ones...'giggle'

  • @Rango9 You must be psychic! Why do they remake the wonderful films when there are so many books waiting to become movies?

  • @Rango9

The remake did not stink however it did not make much of an impression either. It could not possibly compete with the legendary original! Why film companies waste their time and money trying to recreate the magic and spendor of previous massive hit films is beyond me!

  • tHIS MOVIE IS FRIGGIN' fantastic!!!

  • Isn't it though? I can't believe how witty it is...the writing is wonderful..that remake is gonna "stink on ice" (as my son says)

  • Absolutley. They tried too hard to make it "modern", and, instead, have made it into a film where all of the charachters act like Karen Walker(W&G) & Christine Baranski's character on "Cybil".
