"Ho-Ka hey!" is what Crazy Horse yelled at the battle."It is a good day to fight! It is a good day to die!"Strong Hearts Brave Hearts to the front!"Weak Hearts and Cowards to the rear!"
@lethal8917 i completely agree!! we just stormed in on their land and we thought we were more deserving of it when we werent at all!! we took their food, land and lives!! we destroyed it in many ways with monuments like Mount Rushmore which was built on stolen native american land!!
@sara63nehsa Only 10% of Adult Sioux signed the treaty, yet Congress put it through. Now they are trying to give 570 million for compensation for the land and disruption of their hunting grounds. The 8 Tribes refused. Some called it foolish pride. The Lakota say pride is all have.Today 90% still refuse the money.
It infuriating how society knows this yet we still manage to live like it's just an entertaining story, the native race and culture has been destroyed and can never be returned. Since researching these times I've discovered that the native Indians were very wise honorable people and our society could of learnt so much from them if it was for our greed, racism and stubbornness.
It would be nice if this documentary would get its history straight. In 1866 Andrew Johnson was U.S. President not Ulysses Grant. Grant was elected in 1868 and didn't assume office until 1869.
@tvcrunkfool Because the natives were everywhere and you have to imagine some were defensive and saw the U.S. as enemies. Not to mention, Eastern natives were steadily moved to the west so the expectations might have already been there when seeing the white men of the U.S. thus it would not be easy to move west without violence.

If it wasn't the cow, it would have been something else. The US would have found a reason to move west.
