  • You sir put all my thoughts into one video. Ill tell every atheist to check your video being that they always bring up Zeitgeist

  • You owned when you brought up the fact that we should just throw out most of Ancient History as non-existent. The Bible has more facts then anyother document before the Middle Ages.

  • Part III: to spare myself lots of writing & arguing over "my" & "your" view: just like at least part of Zeitgeist's historical claims are not quite true, same goes to yours. You might want to go over the things claimed here & refrain from merging your own personal interpretation or things you want to be true with historical events. Also, if you want to actually look into the sayings attached to Jesus - according to his own teachings, there should be no Christianity or organized religion at all.

  • @andrewa312 Its not organized! It's the Church: that's me and you. And God. That's all it is. All these Popes and Bishops are pagan and religious fluff!

  • @Mcgif21 That is organized. Every neighborhood has at least one church, children get baptized & circumcised, every school has religion classes. There is a very well known hierarchy. Of course it's organized. It is you and me, and everyone. So what? Doesn't change that fact that people are getting brainwashed into it, constantly. Not to mention that it's way beyond these things. The book itself was organized & edited by those "religion people" - everything you read in the new testament

  • @Mcgif21 Part 2: has been put there by those people. So even if one may think "I see that nonsense in those people, I just take the book and it's teachings, ........" - THEY control the book, they created it, so it may give one a sense of freedom, yet it's completely false as long as one clings to this book in particular or any book at all. Religion divides people, that is a fact. And that's it. That's all it takes to destroy religion. "I am Christian, you are Muslim, etc". That's it.

  • Part II: is edited, can't rely on anything it says, and it most certainly can't be seen as proof of the actual existence of a character in the story it tells. On the contrary, once edited (and even if not edited) the reliability of that text it to be deeply doubted & investigated. According to ancient writings recently found & NOT recognized by the Vatican - Jesus does in fact seem to be just a character in a story meant to pass on certain morals, nothing more.

  • Part I: Whilst few or most of the gospels were written towards the very end of the first century (depends on who you ask), no one ever read them in the modern world - what exists now is the late, very edited version of it, which can't be used to assume anything about the original text. From readings of Thomas (dated to the 70s of the first century), the whole story of Jesus, the way it was written, and Christianity as a whole was completely different & FAR from what it is today. Once a text

  • You have made salient points against Zeitgeist and I will give you that. However just a few problems. Council of Nicaea actually created the concept of a trinity to calm feuds over whether Jesus was a man or son of god. Christ is literally The Anointed One. His name is merely Jesus, or Jesus of Nazareth. As far as inherent moral codes go, look up a fun topic called Cultural Relativism. Good video I didn't feel like I was wasting time. I feel you missed the mark overall but made good points.

    Part I

I see, but the prophecies of Nostradamus are usually modified to make them fit. For example, a number may be added to a predicted date to get the date right; or a word from another language may be substituted. The Bible does in fact have very specific prophecies. If you are interested, you can find a list specific prophecies on Reasons.org by doing a search on that website for "prophecy" and reading the first article that comes up.

  • @Thromnambular1471

    Part II

The Bible does say Jesus is the Son of God. Isaiah 9:6, 2 Peter 1:1, John 1:1, and Colossians 2:9 are just a few verses that assert Christ's deity. In John 8:58 Jesus Himself claims to be God. The wording of His phrase is a perfect description of the ancient Jewish concept of God. Also, the fact the Jews tried to stone Him for blasphemy show that Jesus did claim to be God.

    Part III

Cultural Relativism is interesting, but there are several things about it that make me nervous. For one thing, it creates a "might makes right" atmosphere, where if you can get enough people to think like you, then you can create morality. For example, if Germany had won WWII, then the Holocaust would be morally right, b/c that is what the prevailing culture would say. I'm actually making a video on this subject, but I really have no idea when it will get posted.

  • @cubuletzul First off Wikipedia isn't accurate it let's random people post what they think the truth is... Second the stories used in Christianity etc is all taken from ancient Egyptian stories that's fact!! Till this day you can see them in the pyramids in Africa.... I've done research... Have you?? Well if so do more, stop believing blindly and find hard evidence to prove me wrong, then we can have a discussion.

  • @murdadeathkill

Where are these stories? Where is this information coming from? Where are you getting your research from?

There is in fact, "hard evidence". The Bible has hundreds of fulfilled prophecies. There are a couple of links in my channel description, if you're interested. Also, the apostles willingly gave their lives for the gospel. They would've known whether or not they really saw / ate with / touched the resurrected Jesus. Did they willingly and knowingly died for a lie?

  • @ggcage to interject again Nostradamus had quite a few prophecies actualized, and depending on how willing you are to suspend disbelief maybe more. People die for lies and false truths all the time. For example people who kill their significant others under false pretenses. Also be careful with the word mythology. People believed in their religions just as fervently as you do. Who's to say? Your religion may be tomorrows "mythology".

  • You mention historical context must be taken into account, yet in most of your arguments you yourself do not take it into account. most of your arguments just reflect your own bias and lack of knowledge in the area of your own faith. "Let he without sin cast the first stone." Yet the common practice of stoning a siner is present in the old testerment, instructed by "Elohim" translated "the shining ones"(the sun, stars) God. Can god then not make up his mind. This statement is actually laughable.

  • @84doit There's a lot of context behind that story. The Pharisees brought an adulteress to Jesus with the intent to trap Him. If Jesus said "stone her" then they would say that He wasn't the Savior, and if He said "don't stone her" then they would say He broke the Law of Moses. However, the Law also required that the first stone be cast by an innocent witness. Since the Pharisees all had the intent of defaming Jesus, they all knew they were not innocent, and thus they were refuted.

  • Just because the content of stories change does not prove they were all not taken from the same story. The basic structure of the stories are the same, which leaves human intervention as responsible for the detail differences. All myth and story are just expressions of the state of the human psyche at that time, not literal at all! This can be noticed even with simple childs tales like Little Red Riding Hood, or Sleeping Beauty. Do better research if you wanna be taken seriously. Open mind

  • @84doit I see. But what you have to realize is that nobody ever died for their testimony of Little Red Riding Hood. The apostles, who witnessed Jesus face to face died for their testimony of Him, without any hope of worldly gain. No other religion has a firsthand martyr who didn't have the possibility of getting worldly gain. Also, if Jesus was just another Sun-god, then He should've died so that spring would come back, but instead He died for the sins of humanity, which is entirely different.

  • Your wrong guy!! Hours was born of a virgin.... So..... What are u talking about zeitgeist has proof it shows pics and vids. Your just stating your opinion Christian guy!!

  • @murdadeathkill I realize that I didn't give a lot of evidence for Christianity in this video. It was mainly about debunking Zeitgeist. However, I do have quite a bit of evidence in my channel description, the video description, and in other videos.

  • @murdadeathkill It's very easy to check, yet you obviously decided not to. I takes 1 minute to go to wikipedia and see that there's no reference that Horus was born of a virgin. It's easier letting others think for you than looking for yourself, right?

  • I liked your earlier videos in this series better. When you debunked Horus ect, you kept your personal beliefs out of the video. Whether you like it or not the Crusades were perpetrated by Christians. Whether or not they were "true" Christians is irrelevant and a fallacy.

  • @OutlawGrrl It's not the religion's fault for the Crusades, it's the people's fault, who interpreted it. You can find no passage in the New Testament that says you should kill those who don't have the same believes as you... on the contrary, Jesus says to love your enemy as yourself. Any reference to the Old Testament is not acceptable, Jesus came to "update" those old laws, and preached for love and tolerance.

  • Anyways, Nobody can tell me, or No person can tell me they know what happens when you die. Bible was written by other men, and from what I understand there's a lot of discrepancies from each of them, peter, paul, mark etc.. . .

  • @joseangel4293 Part I

God is not created in the image of man. God is perfectly holy. No human being has a perfect standard of morality. People believe that they are moral even when they know that they are imperfect. God, however, states the to be imperfect is to be immoral. In fact, to break God's law is to disrespect God, and is an offense against God.

  • @joseangel4293 Part II

Because of this, all sins are ultimately sins against God. Since God is infinite, to sin against God is worthy of an infinite punishment, which is why we so desperately need Christ's infinite sacrifice to atone for us.

My question is, if God were created in the image of man, why does God hold humanity to such an extremely high standard?

Also, what are some of these discrepancies between Peter, Paul, and Mark?

  • @ggcage Well from what I understand the virgin birth is only mentioned in two of the gospels, and that to me is a VERY important detail to be left out. Or the gospel of Peter, King Herod killed jesus.

  • @joseangel4293 Part I

The gospels of Mark and John don't really talk about Jesus' early life, so it makes sense that the virgin birth isn't included. Just because something isn't recorded about Jesus doesn't mean it didn't happen. (John 21:25). Also, when a secular historical event is recorded, not every single detail is recorded in every single documentation.

  • @joseangel4293 Part II

What you have to realize is that there are reasons that the apocryphal gospels are not included in the Bible. The gospel of Peter contains heretical content, and is dated to after 150, where the 4 gospels are all dated to within one lifetime after Jesus' resurection. There is no way that the gospel of Peter was in fact written by Peter.

  • Previous comment was meant to be posted by joseangel4293 and not magmanight, I mistakenly used my brother's Username.

  • I thought it was the "inspired" word of god. A god that we pretty much created in our own image, He gets angry, and he's jealous, he creates floods when we don't behave right. I believe in the miracle of life itself, and god, but not as you describe it or how you make it to be. I believe that people pretty much believe in a god that you create yourself in your own head.

  • Doesn't prove a lot. I would like to know if the story about the man living inside a whale, and all the other stories are true?

  • @joseangel4293 Yes, they are all true. The Bible is *the* word of God. You may say that some of them sound crazy, but what you have to realize is that if God could not do things that were physically impossible, then He wouldn't be very much of a God.

  • nobody believes this . . . You are just trying to maintain social control over all of us . .

  • try explaining this; if they claim he never existed then whats all the bs about trying to match his life story to all these other people? yea exactly they need to make up there damn mind..

  • Your claiming Sargon of Akkad came 700 years after Moses? That is because the archeological dig which produced the ancient cuneiform tablet telling his story didn't exist until we discovered it. That said, it came many years before Genesis and mention of Moses came into play. It even carbon dated long before the Book of Genesis was written.

  • That's not what I said. I said that although Sargon came before Moses, the earliest account we have of him that resembles Moses comes from 700 years after Moses. Either way there is still quite a bit of difference between the two as Sargon was raised by commoners, only to discover he had royal blood, where Moses was a slave raised by Pharoah's daughter.

  • Ooooh, nonononono, the Crusades are NOT a "gimme". The fact of the matter is, the first Crusade was aged after Mohammed's invasion of the Holy Land. In fact, the First Jihad predates the First Crusade, and the Muslims not only took the Holy Land, but repeatedly tried to attack Europe and the Byzantine Empire before they responded to the mass murders, rape and pillaging.
