  • The best version of this theme I ever heard was on a Victor Lewis Smith comedy show. It was played by a fairly sizeable brass ensemble and it was absolutely cracking. I don't have it to u/l but I wish someone did.

  • I wonder if I can find a midi for this and then set it for brass in garageband. That would sound pretty powerful, of course not as good as the original but close enough.

Love your playing! Did you learn that by ear?

  • @VinylLad I'm not too sure what the results of putting the whole thing through a brass sound would be, but I know what you mean. It would be a fairly easy piece to fully remake to modern quality. Sorry but I didn't make a midi file of it.

  • Now on BBC1 its time for nationwide

  • Groovy....nice

  • I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who saw the Beyonce connection.

At least there's 3 of us.

  • this is indelibly implanted in my brain. As a kid, as soon as it came on at 6.00PM, I knew it was time for bath then pyjamas and bed.

  • That was the end of children's programmes for the day. There was no CBBC or CBeebies

  • Thanks Diana - I've updated the details.

  • Sound familiar how about the beyonce single ladies song???
