  • I really need english here. I have tons of bamboo in the woods behind my house.

  • I want this to be in english... I want to make one for myself and friends for a gift. can someone please send me the words in english or these in chineese so that i can translate them?....Gift this to me so i can gift these to others.

  • @Mockatt....Ur right English is soooooo over rated and out of date

  • i want one!!!!

  • What are the toold used in making these?

  • anybody know the name of the rod tool that he slides into the center of the bamboo?

  • I like flute master greatss

  • awww HELLL yea i just made one and a sweet bong too i made the holes slightly exponential too im a fucking gypsy bard now i had to run from the dude whose yard i got the bamboo out of too LOL so worth it

  • i love dizi flutes and i want one sooo bad!

  • It produces music that make you "DIZI":)

    just jokin', nice work though

  • i want this where can i find these flute so sweet

  • I have bamboo and I want to know how to make these.

Can anyone give me a link to something explaining the process?

How is the mouthpiece made so that it makes sound?

I want to know all that stuff.

His flutes are really nice. I hope to make one half as cool!

  • @TheLyricalRAP Well, I'm a novice flute maker. Where I live, there are many Native American flutemakers. I won't tell you every step, but I will give you a hint: I use fire, rivercane (cousin to bamboo), and metal.

  • @miyamoto771 one end has the node in it....in all i have seen or owned anyways

its pretty easy but from what i understand, with bamboo you need to burn the holes in cause drilling splits the wood. PVC pipe rocks for practicing the build but you have to drill it

  • this is useful, if u speak chinese.

  • what was that thing at the start

  • are the flutes in this running bamboo or clumping bamboo?

  • whats the difference of running bamboo and clumped bamboo, isn't all bamboo grown in segments

  • running bamboo spreads far clumped stays together running bamboo usually smaller circomference

  • @hulusi2008 you're probably working with running bamboo...but I doubt it matters for the purpose of making instruments, the structure of the bamboo is the same, really. ' Running' sympodial bamboo spreads underground and forms large thickets from a single plant. 'Clumping' monopodial bamboo stays in place, although the clump will get larger in time. Running bamboo usually has larger culm diameter.

  • where can i get one of those in jacksoneville!?? =( i realy want one but cant seem to find any!! i can go on ebay but idk how to get stuff from ebay + i am 13

  • try online but, you can't tell how the quality is, ebay is your best choice if you don't have connections

  • @Bubue13 Check flutes by Das on youtube, he rocks! I just ordered two from him and his videos are a great resource, he also a super nice guy and would be stoked to hear that a youngin is interested in his flutes.

P.s. Learn some good riddles, then jump out at ppl, play the flute ask them a riddle then disappear. its a laugh and a half!

  • @Bubue13 Check gregwhitehunt for excellent Bamboo Instruments at affordable prices. He has "How to Play" videos also on YouTube Try Gregwhitehunt channel01

  • @Bubue13 try, eriktheflutemaker. com ,most of his is original, and some was taught to him

  • @TravelerWhereof erik is great an dous a lot of good work in poor country's an his flute's sound great. go there an for all your flute needs, beleave me you wont be disapointed

  • @CannabisDelux You mean Erik the Flutemaker? Yeah I'm a friend of his, but I didn't know that he makes dizi flutes as well? I'll give him a call sometime and see.

  • @TravelerWhereof i do beleave so, althought now you make me doubt myself XD i wanted to try an order a Brazilian Major Dark & Carved from his charity project but it seems he is not (was not) in america atm so sending that damn thing would cost me 10 dollar more then the flute itself XD
