  • This idiot knows nothing about the healthcare reform bill! This person spews what ever obama wants, to deceive the nation about healthcare! I challenge this idiot to a debate publicly to refute his propaganda about what the healthcare reform bill truly means to Americans!

  • Liberals attempt to offer an alternative to the problems believed to be inherent with capitalist economies and the legacy of imperialism and nationalism. Liberals state that the only way to solve these problems would be for the working class, or proletariat, to replace the wealthy bourgeoisie, which is currently the ruling class, in order to establish a peaceful, free society, without classes, or government."

  • @chillaxer1993 and this is completely wrong. cent uygur, your not a news reporter, you're just a commentator like bill o'reilly. id say your on the same level. you're also equivalent to the asshole bill maher.

  • @chillaxer1993 Wow you're commenting on a video over 2 years old, awesome

  • It's funny that Turks made a genocide in Bulgaria for about 500 years?

  • this show is brilliant keep up the good work

  • Oh, that bit on the O'reilly Factor is hilarious.

    Major credit to Grayson.

  • you say the public option might be temporary for now but how can they take away public option when people are already using it? also why should my tax money pay for someone who doesn't want to work hard and just sit on his couch doing nothing living off welfare checks? sure SOME people might need the public option. its so shitty i should know i have a friend from the military and he says it takes too long for him to get something he needs for health because its rune by lawyers and politicians

  • We're screwed!!!!!

sombody better do something soon. my private health insurance costs me $6000/year just to cover me.

  • if it starts in 2013 than we're fucked. That's enough time for the industry to due tons of dirty work and revoke the bill

  • Yea, don't tip the hand on the whole Fox/Grayson thing, Cenk. Let them beat themselves at their own game.

  • To clarify I am a fan of the show and am not a conservative trying to cause problems for them. I am sincerely curious.

  • Why did The Young Turks name themselves after a group who slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Christian Armenian men children and women in a politically and religiously motivated genocide. Is this just a coinicdence? I hope so. Please reply to help clear this up for i would very much appreciate it, thank you

  • Im guessing:

"The term Young Turks referred to the members of the Ottoman society who were progressive, modernist and opposed to the status quo."

  • Slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Christians? I's about time they got what's coming to them. LOL :-D

  • The Young Turks is the greatest thing on the planet, no exaggeraton.

  • McCAIN vs. THE INTERNET

Republican Senator John McCain, who is a total Internet illiterate, wants to LIMIT your internet access and allow your service provider to CHARGE YOU EXTRA to access the Web.

Oh yeah BTW, Republican Senator McCain is the #1 recipient of donations from Telecom companies. How could we guess?

    For more Info. see YouTube:

    McCain vs. the Internet

  • if they changed the internet this way, would you still use it?

  • Have you been screwed by your credit card company yet? If so, do you still have a credit card??

  • yeah, no i don't use credit cards anymore

  • 'Irish Las Vegas' planned. A replica of the White House will form the centrepiece of a 460 million euro Las Vegas-style village deep in the countryside of Co Tipperary. Plans for the 800-acre development beside Two-Mile Borris include a casino, National Hunt racecourse, a 7,000 seater greyhound track, five-star hotel, a 15,000 seater concert venue - with retractable roof - and golf course. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Arizona Sux Balls if they opt out Call Your GD gov'ner Please!!!! If your From AZ!!!!!

  • everybody knows that rupert murdoch owns the washington post and fox news, right? this is bill o'reilly interviewing his co-worker. wooow!

  • He also owns The Weekly Standard too. Watch out whenever they talk about them or run their ads.

  • Fox has no right to call anyone a crazy "loon" or "out of control" while they still have Beck the cry-baby conspiracy-theorist-wacko on their payroll.

    They're burying themselves under hypocrisy

  • Watch my state NC opt out!!!! LOL

With my luck latley that is going to happen.

This is a red state!!!! I'm going to have to move to a blue state.LOL I know it.

  • Good on ya America...Welcome to civil society

  • You guys are all little kids! haha

  • Excellent job Guys! Good definition: "secreterial work ", about CNN is correct. Keep it up, sounds like you guys could bring a wind of POSITIVE change in the US.

  • "[CNN] try to do news in their own sad, pathetic little way" Damn straight. CNN could do so much more. The fluff pieces that I see on there are unjustifiable. They are fighting the ratings war with Fox News and they don´t want push to come to shove.

  • Ayn Rand is such a pretentious hoebag.

  • 45 minutes long lol

  • The bible has great wisdom at points, so does Ayn Rand, and so does Josh Waitzkin and so does Stuart Wilde, and so does John Maynard Keynes, and so does.....

The trick to philosophy is to take note of the wisdom of others and adjust your beliefs accordingly, but just as much, disregard the less important parts.

  • Devastator, our government has never been that unreasonable. It's done many wrong things in it's history, though. (mostly involving racial discrimination laws throughout the 1800's & 1900's as well as sanctioning slavery for the first 80 or so years of the republic)

  • It's not the worst thing governments have done in the past.

The health of the people is a national security issue. What they ought to do is ban all junk food and create mandatory exercise programs to increase the recruitment pool for the US military.

The ancient Greeks had a unique attitude towards health insurance. They called it, prevention.

  • Oh brother, conspiracy theorists.

  • i love the way you chuckle and say "hoho-okay?"

  • If Cenk ran CNN...

Man, Cenk-O-Vision would rake the other networks over hot coals.

  • cram it, you FOX mouthpiece.

  • Al Jazeera English is probably the only real news networ, real reporting and journalism.

  • *network*

  • al Jazeera is a complete joke, totally owned by the American government. It's an American-run propaganda machine.

  • Al jazeera is arab owned. What are you talking about? What propaganda?

  • Propaganda such as fake bin Laden videos.

  • LOL

  • watch your motha fucking mouth

  • al-jazeera is an american-run propaganda machine because...

....during the bush era they disclosed a story about increasing evangelist influence in the us army.

....they hold panels with human rights activists who argue that the top people who allowed torture in gitmo and iraq should be sent to jail.

....when nobody else in the media gave a damn about honduras (important for us foreign policy) they kept giving objective news and more in depth coverages.

  • *applause* ,Well said : )

  • hey whats that song in the intro I hear it all the time on the radio

  • It's Nelly Furtado.

  • thanks

  • where is your proof?

  • Citation please.

  • go grayson

  • Wow... Harry Reid does have a spine after all ; D

  • B.S.

  • Is that actual wording of the two bills, if so what article number?

  • So, Hannity is religious ?

His life is a lie, Much like Beck, Rush and Billo'. So...

I always wonder how do their families see them ?

  • wisened up?

  • Bulgarian women are hot tho. ;-)

  • WE MUST HAVE PUBLIC OPTION !

UHC CEO Stephen Hemsley has $745 MILLION in stock options. 2007 pay $13.2mil; 2008 $3.2 mil.

CIGNA CEO Edward Hanway made $120mil in last 5yrs. Stock options = $28mil.

    Humana CEO Michael McCallister's made $10.3mil in 07. $1,017,308 in 08. Stock options = $60mil.

LARGEST GOLDEN PARACHUTE in history of corporate America goes to William McGuire of UnitedHealth 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS!

How many DENIED angiograms MRI's & dialysis treatments does that take?

    BLOOD MONEY!

  • and it begins... knew fox would go for him

  • Now I'm waiting for a contest of wills between Grayson and O' Riley. Could be interesting.

  • The whole thing with Hannity and the Subway is pretty funny--but this is what Fox does, they'll make these stupid claims and since none of their viewers have ever been or will ever go to New York. Most of them probably can't even leave their trailers without their Rascal.

  • bbbbbbbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllssssssssshhiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The funniest thing about Cenk's analysis of this position is that he still doesn't seem to realize that the votes aren't there to pass Harry's opt out in the Senate. In it's current form, at best, Reid is at 56-57 votes, for the "opt-out", and the path to getting to 60 is looking murkier.

Once more, Speaker Pelosi, at the moment, still doesn't have the votes in the House for her preferred "Medicare +5" plan, and it's hazy whether she'll get there.

  • And, honestly, trying to maintain that "oh, if this doesn't work, the impact won't really be that major", doesn't do justice to what's at stake.

If the bill goes through, scraping by with all Democrats, in the Senate and 218+1 in the House, and it fails, you've officially condemned the Democratic Party's future as a governing majority ever again.

You officially lose every Senate seat south of Virginia and the Mason-Dixon, the Mountain West and even the Ohio Valley.

  • Taking one swing at the fences, for the "public option", even with legislation that already provides for 80% of the things that Democrats have been fighting for, on health legislation, for the last 40 years.

Is that worth jeopardizing a chance, to address true reform, on issues like energy, immigration, education, financial reforms, and a host of other topics that Democrats have been trying to reform for 40 years?

    IMO, I don't think so.

  • According to what? Your uncle?

  • All you have to do is count the votes:

-In the House, the Blue Dog Coalition, 52 members strong, has been unified against Pelosi's idea of a "public option", mainly over fears that tying the compensation rate to Medicare would severely affect their rural hospitals and doctors. The Democrats only have 255 seats in the House.

-In the Senate, the Democrats control 60 seats, with 11-12 Senators hailing from conservative states.

Like I said, count the votes.

  • do you see all the red thumbs down on you comments?

are you that guy at the jets game that gets all painted up with your with your namath jersey on, and then proceeds to talk shit about the jets for the next four quarters?

because that guy acts like he knows everything too.

  • First and foremost, I'm a Niner fan.

Secondly, I could give a rat's ass about "thumbs down" on my comment, from random people who are too afraid to leave any notice of them being around, besides a "thumbs down".

Facts are facts, and no one is going to shut me up, and until someone can show a way that Reid's "public option" can pick up 60 votes for cloture, I will keep talking

  • i just got really pissed. haven't they been calling obama the enemy?! aren't they unhinged?! i'm outta breath from yelling at my computer! EVERYBODY KNOWS RUPERT MURDOCH OWNS THE WASHINGTON POST AND FOX NEWS, RIGHT! Fox news isn't fake? bullshit! BUUUULLLSHIIIT!

  • this fool is interviewing his co worker! this is bullshit!

  • PS why does he have 2 earphones? one truth, one falsehood?

  • Cenk, you need your own show on FOOOOOOOOOOOOO x

  • Sally Quinn and Bill O'Reilly criticizing someone for getting attention--HAHAHAHA! I haven't laughed so much since Nancy Reagan told us not to take drugs!

  • I think the opt out is the best way to go if you want the public option to survive. When you give people a choice in this manner, even the conservatives will come around and next they'll be saying, "Get your hands off of my public option." Just wait and see.

  • Depends on how they're saying you can opt-out.. If it's an opt-out that has to be voted on by the state's citizens, then I agree. If it's an opt-out that can be decided by a few ignorant right wing bible thumpers in a back room, then it solves nothing.

  • That's the point though. If a few people vote it out, and then the whole state wants in on it and they few stubborn conservatives stay stubborn, then they'll get voted out for what the people want. It's a good way of weeding out the bad.

  • JOBS WILL LEAVE STATES THAT OPT OUT.

    Hell to the Yes! :-D

    Viva Public Option!

  • And if California was one of the states to opt out?

Kaiser, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, Pacificare, and a host of other solid companies are already competitors in California, with not a one of them controlling more than a 24% stake of the insurance market.

With all the reforms for citizens already in the bill, and an active and competitive market already in place, the need for the "public option" isn't all that pressing.

  • And as "liberal" as California is often portrayed to be, outside of the Bay Area in Northern California and the Los Angeles area in Southern California, California is as conservative as any other state in the rest of the Union.

All you have to do is look at the state's legislature, deadlocked at near 50/50 since as far as I can remember.

Add in that California is the same electorate that reversed the State Court's decision, which allowed an exemption for same sex couple, and it could happen.

  • Thing is, all the competition in the world won't help us if the big corporations all agree they should overcharge us.

  • With all the reform measures that are already inherent in the bill, like eliminating things like "pre-existing condition", dropping people from coverage after they've paid their full premium, charging different rates based on gender, in addition to improvements, like capping the amount of out-of-pocket expenses and extending family insurance to include children, up to the age of 26, the flexibility to fudge with the numbers in severely limited.

  • Add in the fact that, under these new rules, California still has one of the most competitive insurance markets presently in the country, and the reforms look to be a boon to the people of California, offering increased reliability in insurance coverage, and a market with many of the consumer protections that Democrats across the country have been advocating for years.

  • I'm not saying there aren't good points made in the existing proposals, but they insurance corporations have already stated they would raise premiums significantly, possibly by as much as 100% if and when the legislation passes.

But even if the rates did not increase, Americans already pay extortionate amounts for their health care today. The rates need to come down for reform to have any real effect. Without that all the other issues become, not meaningless, but certainly much less effective.

  • Still the proposals, that can actually get passed in the Senate, do have some serious teeth to them, yet wannabe "progressives", on Youtube and other places, are merely acting like "bomb throwers", working their darnedest to wreck the whole process.

On the table right now, the Senate has proposals, which amounted to regional "public options", started with government money but maintain by fees from it's membership, that would have regional negotiating powers.

  • Would it have been Medicare for all, as ridiculous as I think that would be in our country? Not in the least.

Still, the co-op "public option was an idea that had all moderates and most Democrats on board, and would've been able to garner the needed 60 votes, with minor tweaks.

The votes were there for that idea, and yet wannabe "progressives" scoffed at that idea, instead to push for an idea, which to this day still doesn't have the votes to pass the Senate.

  • 80%of the things that progressive have been fighting 40 years to get, a layer of government-backed competition for the uninsured, with the 60 votes needed to break the filibuster, wannabe "progressives", like Cenk, Olbermann, Arianna and others, sabotage the whole process, by pushing too far, without the actual votes to pass legislation.

My belief has always been that the Democrats should go as far as the votes will take them, pass something, and then improve on it later.

  • said the person who obviously doesn't need it. (neither do I, btw, but I have this thing called empathy and a conscience)

quit wasting everybody's time, including your own with your OCD comments.

    VIVA PUBLIC OPTION!

  • Yes, my family has employer-based insurance coverage, from a, IMO, great company that has provided my parents, my brothers and I, excellent care, from the day that we were brought into this world.

Still, even if I had to go to the open market, as a 22 year old, non-smoking male resident of California, I'd have at least 9 different health insurance companies to compare coverage from, and make my decision.

California doesn't have to deal with one company controlling 80% of the market.

  • The Tigger is bouncy pouncy, the trigger not so much.

  • I think that part of the reasoning behind waiting a few years before effecting the legislation (the whole Y1 business) is that there is a need for appropriate infrastructure to be put in place.

  • Ha, Cenk is awesome but I hate it when he says "O'COOOOURSE!"

  • I used to hate it, too. I mean really really hate it. But now it's his signature and I don't care so much anymore.

  • He says it a lot--you must be constantly irritated.

  • i love it but nobody gets it when i say "OF COOOOOOURSE" or "LET EM GOOOOO"

  • That "create your cartoon" advert is the most annoying advertisement I've ever seen.

  • no, no cenk, for the love of god ,never and i really mean ever, sell your political soul to that vaudiville act which make the most enlighened of us laugh at ,that fair and balanced and laughable channel it chokes me to say it fox.

  • Do you realize no one really said this negative stuff about a trigger to attack it? It's because they may not want it for healthcare, but they want to be able to use it later for something else, so they don't explain in the same way that Cenk did.

  • Im from australia but watching fox hannity and beck you can't help thinking that there bias against obama and the demorcats is plain to see. If you can't see that then i feel sorry for you.

  • Ha ha ha xD whether nor not you were kidding, that was hillarious XD!!!

  • been laughing two minutes for the bat thing 22:18

Grayson is a genius with words.

  • "Doesn't this sound immature?'

    HA

    Pot, meet kettle.

  • Yeah Bill, who calls people immature names on TV?!?!?! That guys must be a "crackpot loon"! XD

  • wow everytime i hear something about greyson He is doing something Gee...

his becoming my fav politician at least 1 of the only 1s i dont despise ....

  • what the fuck is that ass hole bill oreilly gona talk about immature? just look at him wasent he accused of sexual harasament by phone....

  • While holding a luffa!

  • whats a luffa?

  • One of those rough sponge like things that you use in the shower.

  • hehehehe ohh

    that dude is just disgusting

  • Not only that, but mine's now gone. Bill O' Reilly stole my luffa!

  • So here's a question: What good is a public option for health care when the poorest people in America still can't afford it? True public health care means everyone has access to it, even if they're dirt poor living on the street. To have a "public option" to "drive down insurance rates" won't do a damn thing, it will be like nothing has changed. If you're gonna have a public option, you're either gonna have to take it all the way or just give it up. There's no middle ground on this issue.

  • So true.

  • I like what you're saying, but you do realize how patently ABSURD a 'true public health care system' would be in this particular country? The possibilities for abuse are astronomical, not to mention the sheer numbers of people we have.

You can universally insure 20-30 million. 350 million? Not to mention the undocumented which make up another 20 million? Add on the fact that most American's lifestyles are amazingly unhealthy (myself included) and the task is simply too great.

  • That's something to consider, and why I think this whole "health care reform" garbage is a waste of precious time. The health care system in America will always be mediocre at best, and all the "reform" in the world won't put it up to standards with other first-world countries, simply because we have too many people to take care of.

  • Really!? You do realize that the European Union is more populous than the U.S.? Size is not an argument against healthcare reform. If anything, your size could help you getting a better deal from pharmaceutical companies.

  • As about as unhealthy has the British. What you got to keep in mind a public heath services goal, can still be to save money only now it HAS to cover everyone so the only way is to make people healthy. For example the NHS in UK puts Billboard adverts up about diseases and so on. Even TV adverts are estimated to cost less than treatment of the people they effect.

Because its free people see the doctor often, catching a bad heart 5yrs early and treating it with 2$ week pills. It really saves.

  • 16% of US GDP goes to healthcare. Most countries its around half as much. That 8%~ could be spent in the shops rather than paying insurance companies who pay next to no tax and pay there CEOs millions.

  • ahaha I love how bill completely avoids actually denying any of the claims grayson held against fox. Hes knows their true.

All they do is personal attacks. Oh and act all hypersensitive. Alan is kicking ass and taking names in the house.

  • The World is a stage get back.

  • Grayson is a great fireplug.

  • News is Dead.

  • This is the Best TyT ever! I WISH fox News would see this to know what real news is like!

  • i loved bill oreillys comment about grayson saying cheneys upset with the president because he does'nt shoot old men in the face and if cheney turned into a bat and flew away after speaking. that sounds dignified for a congressman oreiily says. i wonder if it was just as dignified when chen told a senator on the senate floor to go fuck himself. i am sure oreilly found that dignified as well.

    keeping it real bill o?

  • Has Harry Reid redeemed himself or would you want someone else in the leadership or senate?

  • u no what would be extremely ha bisky if shep calls fox conceritive news and that it is biest and finally have them called out for what they r caz then how can they shut shep up he would be the most ha bisky person ever he would be as ha bisky as grayson is

  • is ha bisky good or bad? im having a hard time figuring out which way you're leaning.

  • look ha bisky up in the youtube search bar and its a good thing in my content i always use it as a good thing

  • Grayson can be on my team anytime. Yay, Grayson! Go team go!

  • Grayson has a big stick and walks softly.

  • i think rachel maddow does the best job to explain what this new bill is about

  • She is the best.

  • CNN has gone right wing.. they are sliding more and more to the right.. they are jealous of the profits being made by all the crazies on FOX fake news

  • god i hate hannity...

  • this is sweet. Hopefully after a few years, our political climate will have changed to the point where health legislation including a single-payer system can be successfully passed. I find it immoral that something as critical to survival as health insurance can ever be bought and sold in a for-profit market.

  • agreed. that aspect is alarming.

  • Well done Cent! I agree with every thing you said on this episode.

  • Bill'O the clown calling Grayson UNHINGED ?? now that is a laugh..Bill'O the clown is an idiot

  • ooh look at the power-cocksucking bill o riley being all sady sady, too bad his disgusting dishonest ignorant hypocrite asshole face and all his idiotic babbling will be stored on the internet for EVER , for future generations to laugh about him

  • Obama and the white house are playing the game perfectly. I'm no fan of Obama's current achievements, but i do understand the difficultly in passing a progressive agenda. At this point, everything seems fishy with him, we still don't know what to completely make of him. But trully, hopefully, I think that its all on purpose. Obama has tried to "pass so much at the same time" because its hard for the opposition to organize and get there talking points out there. He HAS to get a Pub Opt..duuu

  • no fan of cutting middle class taxes?

no fan of winding down Iraq war?

no fan of cash for clunkers?

no fan of the recovery of the market?

Were you comatose the 8 prior years?

  • Go read my comment again, think about it, and then reply again.

Also, these are the worst examples to give me...

The middle east and our current involvement there is shocking, We are "investing" in a chaos at a time of unimaginable domestic need. Winding down??? more like moving... which is even creepier..

Recovery of the market????? please....are you really that ignorant and watch TYT videos?

Clash for Clunkers???? couldn't think of any better??

Common man, the guy hasn't been terrible...

  • the people is so glad that Grayson is on our side you go Grayson keep up the greate work

  • I really hope you never vote.

  • why is that? cause i have my own thoughts and not controled by fox news??? come on stop the hate we are finaly getting our freedom back

  • no matter what the public option should not be up to the senator, it should be up to the individual. im still pissed off.......

  • Just finished the rest of the show. I'm so happy to have access to this insight!

  • Jesus, this show's so informative! Awesome, just awesome!

  • I love Allan Grayson... he has a spine @(^_^)@

  • well give him a few bucks for his re-election. Republicans have raised 2 million and counting to run against Grayson

  • Haha I'm from Norway and even I'm considering donation to Graysons re-election!

    He kicks ass!

  • I wish I lived in Norway, or any European country with health care for everyone.

  • Lupitamihita:

Don't forget that Canada has universal health care as well.

  • he has balls so big, you would think he has to come into a building side ways.

    (^_^)

  • although i has personal respect to allan, but i agree with him that personality has to do nothing about politicians.

we are not voting saints, but voting professional politician to stand for and work for people.

otherwise, like the normal strategy of GOP, most of conservatives think they are voting for christian

  • Cenk the numbers are fixed the numbers count 10 years of taxes and only 7 years of service with $300bn written out of the bill into appropiations. the government will loose money.

  • I hate it too, it's not even talking correct, the "just" is in the wrong spot.

  • LETS CREATE A CARTOON TOGETHER

  • american health care is down the toilet

    thank god I'm Canadian :)

  • HannahBarale:

    Single-payer universal health care FTW!

    Thank science I'm Canadian ;P.

  • Yeaaa Intelligent Critique there... Lottsa Cussin' pickin' An' Chaw Spittin'... RREEEEaaal 'Clevis' of ya there, Deej...
