We just finished watching this movie in English! I love it but it is one of the most heart breaking movies I have EVER seen! I hated the part when the nazis separated Anne and Otto. I still cry when I think about that part...

Anne Frank had so much thought and emotion, its incredible that she was only 13 to 15 years old. Have you guys read an essay called Give! It is so good! It was really intriguing and provoking. my LA teacher showed us this video today (yeah we're learning about Anne Frank). I have to admit that this video made me have tears in my eyes, I wanted him to turn it off!! The first time I watched this video, I didn't cry immediately. I held back tears as much as I could, but then I just started bawling. It sort of scared everyone around me, because to them I just started crying for no reason. Its sort of funny to me now, but I still can't watch this video without tearing up. one of the worst things is that Anne and her sister died only a few WEEKS before they closed the camps down. When her sister died Anne gave up; so sad. she might had died anyway but if her sisters death hadnt broken her spirit she might have lived! ughh..i watched this movie...its the worst movie ever..not in the bad way...its just that it made me cry alot...:(...i cant even imagine living that way...they were very strong ppl to indure all that...i would of just killed myself...instead of suffering all that stuff....

One of the saddest stories the world had known. My condolences to the family of Miep Gies (one of Anne frank's protectors), who recently died last month aged 100 years old. She sustained neck injury after a fall last December. She has a book called Anne Frank: Remembered. To all Anne Frank's fans all over the world, pleade do read it.

@FashionDestress 100 years is a long time to live, I'd imagine that the last 60 or 70 years of Miep's life was hard on her, she must have been happy that she did the right thing by helping the 8 people in hiding,but also sad because her friends were gone and she could not get them back no matter what she did.

well my great great grandfather was a living in the Amsterdam hiding in a building and he seen the trains with heaps heaps of jews on them and it was packed and he would wait 2 hours and then the trains would go back empty. he died by the nazis and if you have any questions please email me

I do feel sorry for all those that died. This is so sad in it self. Hitler is cruel so very cruel. I still cannot believe that I understood Anne's Diary in 7th/8th grade. I just put it way that I understood it. In try at least once a year read this book. I learn more each time that I read this book. It is one of my favorite books.

I saw this movie some years ago and I cried.
Such a terrible chapter of our history, and I am really proud that today Germany is a country that honours and respects human rights like not many other countries do. The only good thing about our past is that we learned from it... well, most of us, at least.
This video almost made me cry again; the movie is so realistic and the song so sad. Let's fight for tolerance and freedom all over the world!

I have to say it, im a man i have 18 years old, and this is the first time that i cried for someone, really , first i read the book and then of course i watched the movie and really it changed me, my way of thinking in some stuff and made me to regret of somethings that i used to beleive.
Really this story about this girl has made an impact in me.

I am balling after watching the A&E Documentary on Anne Frank. I hope she knows the mark she left on my heart. How much she means to those who died, those who are dying and those whom are still to die and suffer due to prejudice, stereotyping, bigotry, hate etc. I am certain that she would have been a human rights activist, not just for her people, but for all oppressed peoples. She is the best child of God... i used 'is' because it was her choice for a living even after death... She's alive in all the hearts of her admirers... "Hallelujah" was written by Leonard Cohen, although Buckley's cover has become more well known. It's a very appropriate song for your subject matter, and quite fitting after the murder of the guard at the Holocaust museum.
