I'm a little disappointed that he didn't mention the commercialization and diminished religious connection with Christmas. I don't think I'm the only atheist/agnostic who grew up in a loosely Christian household who continues the tradition of Christmas.. It's about charity, love, family, good will...
i wish Christmas was still as festive is it was then be fun instead of sitting in the house bored all December go out and have a town sized party...that would be fun:)
@Boomx2Brian You should know that this 'winters solstice' was an evil festival full of greed. Christians actually made it more nicer by having their festival with it.
@Blueknightex Whether it became better or worse is irrelevant. The point is that it changes and jeebus is becoming less and less emphasized. Its more of a get together of family than celebrating any kind of religion. I would say this is an even better improvement.
@Boomx2Brian The calender during Jesus's time was alot different than what it is now. Since the calender has changed his birthday happened to fall on the 25th of December.
Christmas was originally pagan, Jesus was originally Jewish, G-d was originally wrathful, and Christians were originally lion food. Things change.

@jos7886 why, what does that mean?
LLUZION 1 year ago
@LLUZION Christians seem to reject evolution in favor of creationism because it would contradict their beliefs.

Um wasnt it also just a time to celebrate christs birth i think you left out a lot
SosoSeth1990 1 year ago
@SosoSeth1990 Nope. Christians stole the winters solstice and infused it with their religion. Jesus is thought to have been born during spring time.
