Septic tank, the Post Office is just one more example of government control run amok. They are top heavy with beaurocracy and are always hopelessly in red ink just like Amtrak. When Bamma used the USPO as an example of how healthcare can run and compete with private industry such as FedEx, it took him about 10 seconds to realize that FedEx actually makes money and the Post Office loses it every year even when they jack up their rates often enough to NOT be able to print the price on a stamp.

Good point. However would it be fair to call America a socialist nation because of a government run program such as the federal post? I made those sarcastic posts because I'm Canadian and we get called socialist all the time due to our government run heath care system. We're far from socialist. We've always been a mixed economy. were actually moving toward more privatization, particularly in my province. Our hydro electric and natural gas industry is now privately run as is our public transit.
