This is great, do you guys know how widespread this art is in the United States? I tried to find some academies in IL but I got no results sadly :/ Would love to try this art out and train looks very useful.
Until the last several years, this was strictly a family art--the Albo family taught the art "within the clan." The school in Texas closed after the death of Apohan Tuhan Albo. Training is available in West Virginia and Ohio. Visit the Albo Kali Silat website for more information. Seminars can be arranged from time to time at other locations/states/etc. Thanks for the interest and comments.
Currently there is a school located in Bridgeport, WV (near Clarksburg) and another located in Warren, OH (at the Warren Budokan facilities).
