nothing will seem to be perfect no matter what we do. Boracay is not a paradise, where in the world is? any place in d world will not always please our expectations. White people go to tropical countries to enjoy white beaches on a holiday heat, likewise brown ones would always want to try to wake up in their dreams with snow flakes on their windows. simply because the earth is not perfect. It is just a matter of accepting what it is and being happy of what has been given to our amusement..

Mosquitos are not important . Malaria is. Check with the CDC before you leave. Masssewage pours into Boracay, making it difficult to dive. i recommend the Blue mango if you dive, they will take you to decent spots, such as the rock, where it should be more or less clear. Fridays is decent but it is for your more middle class/ budget traveler. I would check out the Shangri La or Mariott first. There is a flavor for every budget. Be prepares for 250/night for some. Happy searching!
go to the philippines.. go to boracay.. boracay is the most safest part of the philippines.. why? every corner have policeman.. almost zero crimes, since the native people of boracay are very hospitable and very kind.. if someone tried to do something bad to visitors, specially foreigners, they will be punish according to their native traditions. TORTURE.. =) so come to philippines. come to boracay. =) i went their once.. ive wished that im one of the natives their. because boracay is a paradise
i go to patong beach thailand its an awsom place never had a drama there in the 4 trips ive made the locals are the nicest people they cant afford to be bad to the tourists bacause thats there livelyhood and they will do anything to help you out but boracay looks nice im thinking of going there for new years good luck makeing a decision
THE RAPE OF BORACAY: Once ruled by its native inhabitants where they can freely enjoy the beauty of their island is now under seclusion in the remote part of the island. Wealthy known personalities were able to secure their rights in Boracay and continuously changing its landscape to their commercial intentions. Degradation of this once lush forest will be inevitable because of the unending influx of Commercial Businesses inside the island.
w0w really nice place Proud to be Filipino, im Filipino but i haven't go there in my life, even if my dream will come true as a singer someday, and Boracay is #1 of my paradise place list.
Boracay is NOT paradise. You will find the crushing poverty of too many people in too small an area. Green algae fed by polution grows in the shallows. Away from the protection of Fridays, you will be besieged by people hawking trinkets. They stop you along the path and disturb you as you lie on beach. There are too many boats that disregard the rules and go too close to shore endangering swimmers. Philippine friends of ours suggest looking at other less "touristy" Phil. islands. Do research.
My reply was in response to the message about how Boracay seemed like paradise from my description. I felt it was necessary to strike a balance. Our video shows how pleased we were with both Friday's and the PI people in general. Resort areas are built to attract foreigners. Many travellers will not return after one visit which is a shame. If the affluent PI people would put effort into the place instead of fleeing, the situation would improve. Striking out at the messenger helps nothing.
Resorts are built to attract money. Which the native people do not have. Apparently they didn't get the memo that they were to stay out of your way. You travel to a third world country and insist on privacy? Are you kidding me? You think the white sand between your toes was meant for just you? I may be striking out at the messenger, but you have struck out at a whole culture. Shame on you for your attitude towards these natives. Visit some local villages and try to understand.
Lol u seem to be getting insecure dude. Is it so much to ask not being harrassed by locals on our well earnt vacation. It's not like we go outta our way to annoy them. Maybe ur one of those beggars which is why u get so defensive lol
Yes, we went to the Mandala Spa and had the Gentleman's and Princess packages-almost half a day of indulgence. The grounds were the most serene we saw on the island. We wanted to stay on the beach for the scuba diving.

you can go to Ocean park in manila.
Boracay is the best and not that expenssive, you can find a room for less than 1,000 pesos.
Palawan is also unique the longest under ground river is in there and it one of the finalist in the new 7 wonder of the world.
Cebu and Davao is also the best cities we have here in the Philippines. In Davao you can see the biggest eagle in the world.
Baguio is our summer capital .
Good luck and you can ask me if you want
