@Desi1204 no it isn't. I should know, I am a lolita, Lolita fashion is about rejecting sexual objectification. Lolita (as you can see) is not very flattering, enticing or sexy and sometimes is just plain outrageous. Lolitas wear their frilly dresses b/c it is cute and they like it, not to attract the opposite sex.Lolita the fashion and Lolita the book only share the same name, nothing more. Lolitas are usually grown women with 9-5 jobs who go home and live normally just like everyone else.
I wouldn't say that is what Lolita is about. Sure, some Lolitas wear it for that, that is part of why I wear it, but I mostly just wear it because I LIKE it. Saying that you wear it to reject sexual objectification is saying you wear it for a reason other than to please yourself and express yourself..
That's not what Lolita is about.
Lolita is about expressing yourself and wearing what you love. That's all. Anything else is determined by the wearer themselves.

Why so many lace monsters? XD It seems like in most of the documentaries I see, it's a painful to see what dresses they show.
