Agreed, I finished my 12 weeks 3 years ago... I can't begin to say how much healthier and fuller my life is... I can breathe, exercise, and smell again - I had some wicked nausea from this product, but I would take it again in a heartbeat if I had to. If you are healthy and have a fairly healthy frame of mind, I'd say go ahead. I have had one suicidal thought in middle school, but nothing on Chantix. Just my 2 cents.
I quit smoking because Chantix. I am on Week3 and have not had a smoke for 2weeks. bballnale sorry it didn't work for your dad but Chantix is a wonder drug for many of us.
Yeah Chantix does give some wicked dreams. Beside some vivid dreams that's the only side affect. Remember were all different and therefore different people will have different side affects. Also, all drugs have side affects.
What about the side effect that makes you depressed and may lead to suicide? Have you seen that new ad on the telly? I don't want anyone I know on a pill that makes you that daft. You're just one of the few lucky blokes with enough Masculine Dystrophy so it didn't effect you in any other ways. Intox even said his woman was horribly depressed on it. And from what I've read a lot of females have the same problem.
chantix worked exceptionally well on me. I had heavy nausea for 3 days and bad constipation at one point while on it, but it was very worth it. I've probably saved up a grand in tobacco money since I quit 6 months ago.
My girlfriend is trying to quit using this product now, constantly feels like she's losing her mind, can't concentrate, depressed, she feels withdrawn from people. She's acting differently towards everyone including her children.
She was a upbeat happy person before taking this drug, all i can hope for is she returns to normal after she stops taking it. Its at the point now where i feel it could ruin our relationship. I wouldn't recommend this drug for anyone. try Zyban
looks like 1980's commercial

It seems this product makes you opposite to what you are when you smoke. I'm taking chantix right now and its helping me out.
Its all a matter of personal physiological makeup. Zyban didn't work for me...in fact it made me the same as intox69 described about his GF.
So far, Chantix has worked for me, is basically all I can say. Just a matter of what your body can handle physiologically.
