oh and btw, if dark samus is the opposite of samus, then doesn't that make dark samus a guy? cause then if dark samus is a guy and samus is a girl........i think you get the picture. :O
@ghostlourde dark samus is not samus's opposite. metroid prime, which was originally genderless. but after samus beat it, it latched onto her phazon suit and took it (which actually overloaded it) and got a little of her dna in the process. thus, dark samus was born.
@maconwriter yes thank you, i recently learned this.
my theory used to be that when samus was entering aethers atmosphere, and since there were two planets she was technically flying into, when that lightning struck her ship, it caused an opposite style ship to appear in the atmosphere of dark aether and crash on it, and thus dark samus was born.
@yinyang35 Dark Samus is Metroid Prime's essence bonded to the Phazon Suit. Remember when it ripped the Phazon Suit from her at the end of MP1? Yeah, that's how it happened.
It was created in her image, yes. But it's pretty much the essense of Metroid Prime and phazon... If those two things are at all different, anyways. I'm pretty sure MP doesn't have a particular gender though.
@Quadraxis14 why did you keep saying "they" refering to dark samus as multiple entitys its one being you see her get exploded into tiny phazon particles and suck the phazon from that room member the end she reforms FROM particles there isnt dark samus clones trust me im a metroid fanatic thats my email name ;P
Dark Samus, yea, some people that played this game before MP1, don't real-ized that Dark Samus is Metroid Prime in a Phazon Suit & that Metriod Prime is a high-ly evolved Metriod that absorb a-lot of Phazon.
Dark Samus, depressingly simple for a hard mode boss.
I as a personal preference, do not use the dark beam at all (except to open doors) until I get the light beam due to a silly and obnoxious mechanic to be explained in a near-future episode.
Does it involve switching between the two? I haven't bothered trying that yet. In fact, I generally just stick with the power beam. It reminds me of when I play Mega Man, I rarely use the robot masters' abilities and just stick with the buster weapon. If that's the silly and obnoxious mechanic then I shall try it out... Otherwise explain this to me.
When you kill things with the light beam, they drop dark beam ammo. When you kill things with the dark beam, they drop light beam ammo. The same goes for crates. The only way to reload one beam is with the other.
By the same token though, using the light beam on dark aeather creatures deals way more damage and vice verse. It's worth exploiting.
Oh right, of course. I was aware of that stuff, the way you were describing it though it sounded like some exploiting trick that killed things really easily. That's kinda common knowledge though, the game explains it to you itself.
i think i see what you are trying to do but you need to use familiar words to make it sound right to others, try gren (like gwen but with r instead of w) -a-deer
Man, you are soooo damn LUCKY you got the Varia Suit on !

Dark Samus is the reincarnation of Metroid Prime, and Dark Samus is a girl because she is an almost perfect clone of Samus.

Dark Samus' theme is awesome. Though I do like the Prime 3 version a little better.

why do you refer to Dark Samus as a "They"? I'm fairly certain there's only one... unless... oh no I've gone cross-eyed!
Catman2030 2 years ago
Dark Samus is an "It". I'm pretty sure they don't have a gender, anyways.
Quadraxis14 2 years ago
well, if you put the word "Samus" behind or in front of anything you imply that "It" is in fact a "She of some kind"

ya but the phazon took the DNA of samus and metroid prime was a female
so its still a female
(me and ankarua(hes from the forum) were talking about it)
kingluigi9 2 years ago
@Quadraxis14 Well, it did steal DNA from a female, so I'd have to imagine that the result would be female in some way.

Heh, 5:03.
Samus was just like, "I'm bookin' it." I don't blame her. Why is it that whenever something charges up it's body after it dies, it explodes?
ShadianVise 2 years ago
Because Dodongos are just cool like that... Also, every living thing in this game tends to explode, so it's just the norm around these parts.
