@Lauren1561 Pellets? They're pieces of recycled paper and card board. It's more absorbent than pine shavings. Plus the oil that is usually used in the making of pine beddings can cause respiratory infections in guinea pigs.

I have that cage it's HUGE! In the top right corner I have her water bottle, and her salt lick. In the bottom right corner she has a meduim-sized blue sparkly pigloo. Oxbow timothy hay, yes.

No, those brands are bad. Mazuri i guess is okay. Just make sure you get a pellet that has no extras in it, or seeds. Just plaint timothy pellet; like oxbow, or kleenmama's/

Salt licks are in fact dangerous for them.

Cubed hay is useless and does NOT wear down teeth. This also CANNOT replace loose hay.

Buy: Oxbow Hay - if you didnt know already

Buy: Gerty or Mazuri Food

Buy: Carefresh Bedding - REALLY GOOD

Buy: Salt lick thing hangs from the ceiling and u can add treats

Buy: Cubed Hay that has layers of treats = good for teeth

But dont buy: Ecotrition = BAD!

@MissAnimalLover411 There is a very simple and effective solution for that. All you need to do is feed them A LOT of food, this will make them fat and imparing their running speed, and at the same time, they will learn to know that you're the one with the food, so they'll like you.

Congratulations! =D Yeah, most guinea pigs are shy the first few weeks that you've had them, but they'll quickly get used to it. Feeding them is simple, they eat their grain mix, hay, and vegetables (and water). My guinea pig's favorite vegetables are carrots and cilantro. Their favorite fruits are tomatoes, cucumbers, and red bell peppers (without seeds). I like to play stand on two legs and reach the treat. They've gotten used to it, so even when I'm not playing, they'll do it anyway.

your guinea pig has the same colors as mine, my piggies name is GiGi =]. i also just wanted to inform you, not to be mean or anything just to help, that the food that you are feeding your guinea pig is a very big chocking hazard because of the seeds and other little things in there other then plain pellets. i recommend changing your guinea pig pellets to oxbow cavy cuisine. and also maybe changing your cage to atleast a 2x3 C&C cage, because if you buy them off of ebay they are rather cheap=].

@Boruness I got it at Petsmart. They also sell these baskets that you can attach to the side. The thing is that they eat so much hay that I had to refill it twice a day, so I bought the basket.

Guinea pigs are diurnal which means they're most active during the day. They'll sometimes make loud, whistling noises if they want food, hear a bag moving, or hear a refrigerator door opening. Mine don't smell bad, they smell like timothy hay. I take mine in my bedroom sometimes.

I read it's better two buy two that are related at once, but for me it didn't matter. They're happy together. Oh and another thing; if you get two boys it's possible that they might fight for the first few days together, but that didn't happen to me. Just get a cage with enough room for both.

When I took this video I only had that one guinea pig. I later did some research online and found out that they're better off with a partner in the cage, so I went out and bought a second one. More research told me that two guinea pigs need a cage that atleast 2x4... So I'm going to go buy a 3x3 cage so they get 9 square feet of space.
