yea but they have to fix up the engine. i would like a game of global conflict. it would be nice to have it all the way up to the modern age when gasoline is very crucuial. also, yea air battles could be seperate and they should do like special missions on bombing cities. but if their gunna do this they MUST include coast invasion battles.

for one there are no differences between factions. they are exactly the same except for in name and color. Almost every faction except for Britian have the same units and capabilities. CA screwed us on that, and it will be left to the modders to really make this game shine. By the way, Britian has 7 special units, go figure...

i havn't played empire yet and im gonna buy in a few weeks but im slightly disapointed to find that the main factions dont have unique units that was one of the things i was really looking forward too so how similiar are units from different factions (assuming u get the standerd game not the special units one)?

well, some factions might have a special unit, like elephants, but for the most part all factions are pretty much the same. For example Prussian and Sweden have no differences at all... But by all means, buy the game. Shortly the modders will brin more variety and realism to the game. one of the things that bothered me is that there is no blood/gore at all. again, that can and probably will be modded soon as well

basicly they could change how the game is by tweaking their files. so baiscly they could make new maps, units, unit stats, and mod the game. I sometimes mod the rome:total war map but quite once emprie:total war came out. you could download mods from many sites

yes, its modify the game in most cases to make it better. if you like the game and like the series overall, then you will be in for a pleasent surprise. There is a very large community of fans dedicated to "modding" the Total War games. Google "Total War Center." You will find eveything and anything related to TW there. Have fun!

so far ive played rome total war and medieval 2 and they where both brilliant games this i think will push the bounderies and i think this one will be much better. however i dont think they should try and get to close to the present because all the fights will be from long range and wont be as interesting and tactical.

I agree 100%. The TW series for the most part is all about linear fighting tactics. I guess they can go a little further, but anything past the American Civil War time period (1860s) would't really be a TW game anymore. I just cant see a line of men attcking a string of entrenched machine guns in a WW1 game for example. I'm a former US Marine and love the series for what it is. I have no interest in seeing CA trying to make a Modern game work as well.

Do you think they will go even more into the future with their next games in the series? I don't know what else they could do, this is like the max as to what you can do for a total war game with out making it be a bit to complicated. Maybe WW1, but WW2 sounds a bit over the wall.
