If you're after critique, my main comment would have to be simple editing choices. The lack of consistency in aspect ratio is a bit distracting (though I assume unavoidable since you only had one take). Additionally, a bit of work in aftereffects or some other editing program could have really pushed the contrast between black and white and the color shots with the fire.

Otherwise, very nice for a first attempt at filmography; I think you pulled it off quite well!

it might be nice to experiment with not having the backing music so strong, so you can hear the crackling of the fire, otherwise it takes away a layer which could be quite affective unless your aiming to take out layers of senses to allow audiences to insert their own visualisations. im a theatre student so i know the pain of layering meaning and all that jazz, so just thought i would suggest it but im sure you've already thought of all that
