I've been learning to check the facts first and if I do want to know about a topic more I speak in questions that reflect what I've heard about the subject and allow for those who may know a bit more than I do to correct me or add to what I've heard. This is the best way to talk about a subject without looking like someone who's just talking out of his ass. And you cant be embarrassed because your welcoming corrections.
Komi... I do not know what to make of that kid. He is always stirring up trouble. IIRC, he is the so-called super producer from Europe. I dont know, I just say random things in the comments.

When do you ever know the facts before you speak? Nearly everything coming out of your mouth is a "half assed opinion". You run your mouth on everything else, and now all of a sudden this issue is none of your business?
I love all of the illdoc/Jay Smooth joints, his insight is always on point. But I really have no idea why Jay is wasting his time debating with wackrap autotune fanatics
LOL wasn't trying to ether, just disagreeing.. I made this real quick only to post in JB's comment section, didn't mean for it to get linked up so much.. I would've left his name out if I knew it was gonna get this many views, he seems like good people and all..
To say I'm only "talking about broke rappers" is missing the forest for the trees. In every video I make, whether about hip-hop or not, I strive to represent a set of principles which can be applied to many topics beyond the one I'm explicitly discussing. The most recent video I made, about Joe Budden and Ransom, was also about the general principle of valuing human life and choosing not to waste it by escalating a futile conflict.

You don't shit about MLK either but you made a video about that. That's not Hip-Hop. I see where you're coming from, but I think you just don't want to speak on Gaza cause you're afraid of going out on a limb
You would know what I do or don't know about MLK how, exactly? :) Regardless, I said in this video that I sometimes do vids that aren't about hip-hop, and for anyone who visits my site that fact is obvious. I just don't think it makes sense to insist that I (or anyone) is OBLIGATED to at all times. The same goes for rappers, it's important to have some emcees who speak on deeper topics, but we don't need every emcee to get political on every song. We need diversity and balance.

Beautifully said. I hate it when people make assumptions based on how one looks. People assume I'm middle eastern all the time.

Jay, why is your wikipedia page so small? You are the man. Seriously, you explain things so much better than the news at times.
