  • My favorite artists of all time are Eric Clapton (all his groups) and the Eagles. You can pick out his guitar when he plays backup for someone else. I think he's a genius. He had to be talked into singing his own songs and he doesn't have a great voice but he does such a good job of interpreting his own music.

At my son's wedding, he and I danced to "Let it Grow." It was his choice. Half his friends didn't even know the song! I kept him cool!

  • I've followed Clapton's career for over 30 years, heard him play countless incredible solos, but the one at the end of this song is the most perfectly structured, sensitive, and beautiful solo he has probably ever played.

  • Love the leads Eric plays on this tune Check him out at 7:42 with the head bit .SOOOO into it.

    No other like him!!!

  • NEVER THOUGHT I would see a Super Pac take over You Tube. Money talks. Rock and Roll just walks. Stop the anti President commercial. We know, already.

  • CLAPTON IS GOD

  • does somebody know from which concert is this performance?

  • The outro guitar solo gets me everytime I watch this. Soo much emotion behind it. This version, in my opinion, is superior to the studio version. Only thing missing is a big choir. Then it would be over-the-top!

  • @LITSIRAP i guess his son's deaths benefited him in a way as he wrote at least 2 of his masterpieces inspired by that tragedy

  • 24 people got their mother's eyes

  • I think the CD's name is "One more Rider, one more Car." I have it! it's GREAT!!

  • what concert is this?

  • same here lads, i blame the fuckin spice girls

  • Myy father's eyeeees :D

  • God... what else to say.

  • yes i agree, its good to record yourself and listen to it back..just to get use to what you sound like. Can always start by just recording your voice on your mobile phone...

After spending a year in the studio with Eric to record the Pilgrim album, then going on the road with him for another year, was amazing. yes the public only see a small fraction of his musicianship...he is amazing.

  • I know a professional guitarist who is in awe of Clapton's playing. He states that you only see a small fraction of his musicianship when he performs.

  • claro que me gustaria volver a ver, los ojos de papa

  • I am sure you sound great singing to this classic!!!

  • @ChynaWhyne Well, if I actually sounded good singing it in my house is up for debate.LOL I do record myself though, so I'm not oblivious to how I actually sound. Word to the wise, anybody trying to sing in here should record themselves doing so. You don't know how you actually sound until you hear your recording back. Yes that's how you actually sound to people!lol

  • I sang on this record.....

  • @ChynaWhyne What do you know, I sang on this record TOO!...not. Well, I attempted to sing to this classic in my house. : )

  • for some reason I dont want to live to see eric clapton die

  • Yes there are better guitarists than Clapton but you don't have to listen to him long before you realize why he is so often confused with the man above ; )

  • SOooOO... SmoooTH.... pristine song... staple for standards with music, and guitar sounds.

  • I can honestly say that the outro guitar solo in this live performance has to be one of the best, if not thee best guitar solos these ears of mine heard yet. So much passion! Bravo!

  • @gannonpurcell PELOTUDO DE MIERDA

  • Damn, I just came to this channel from watching a performance of Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" from another channel of the same exact concert. The quality of the audio of this live performance is nothing short of superb!Rock On!

  • The very first time I played a USA manufactured Fender Stratocastor, I cried when I heard how beautiful this guitar is and know why Clapton favors it. If your Strat is made in Japan...you got junk.

  • i saw clapton at msg. when i got there, the warm-up band was on, i don't even remember who they were. when clapton and his band started playing, i got this feeling i never had before or since. it took me a while to figure out what it was, but when i did, it was so obvious. i was in the presence of greatness. i have met a lot of celebrities and athletes, but never got that feeling from any of them. clapton is in a league all his own! i'm glad i got to experience it. i feel privileged.

  • Love Eric!!Have seen him over 10 times and everytime i love him!Thank you so much for your great music!Love to you:)

  • Nobody does like Eric...

  • "Clapton is God." - Need I say more?

  • Very heavenly, emotional, raw, pouring out of the questions and troubles of a man, longing for the touch of our fathers healing holy spirit..

  • Sincerely, can someone comment about the melody, rhythm, instrumentation, solos, and "rockishness" of the music?

    Clapton music is like

ABC, ABC, ABC, solo(water bubbles), ABC, ABC, ABCBCDrumEnding.......

    Overrated, water bubbles!

  • @lykigos The following things are not opinions, they are facts:

    - No one cares about what you think

    - Clapton is awesome

    - This song is amazing

    End of discussion.

  • I never get tired of watching him play the guitar...

  • That is one wicked guitar solo! Shred it up Clapton!

  • AMAZING

  • It is beyond me why so many people have to act so childish. If you don't like the tunes...for crying out loud go somewhere else. All the drama you stir up by posting these insane comments just demonstrates how immature and spoiled you are.

  • which concert was this from?

  • Awesome as he always is!

  • @lykigos You're a joke.

  • @missbehavingwitch The guitar is childish, the rhythm is like coming from a bad Balkan song, the melody is for jokes

  • @lykigos go listen to justin then ..

  • @lykigos just got to ask, where are you from?

  • @missbehavingwitch he must be from faggotvile

  • @jumpmanJB23 You have a big internetic mouth

  • @lykigos You have a big hairy vagina

  • His Fathers eyes are of Our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. Listen to the Words Close and then..........if you Know Scripture you will Understand.

  • I lot here really don't know waht the song is about at all.

  • He's a man or person just like the rest of us. He has great music. It's none of our business to speak about his family matters. Listen to the music, and enjoy it.

  • He makes it seens to be easy to play guitar

  • My oldest son"Eric" dedicated this song to me.Brings tears to my eyes (in a good way)every time That I listen to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • estupendo uno de los mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos el y carlos santana pa lo que salga Fernando tena

  • Fabulous, it's about the father who never knew he existed and went Eric found out where he lived in Canada, he had already passed away.

    slowhnd1

  • I cant believe the comments here - people hiding behind profiles - cowards. Eric Clapton is a legend no matter what your personal feelings about him are.

People need to learn how to act.

  • Un talentoso, extraordinario, en octubre tendré el privilegio de verlo tocar por segunda vez en vivo.

  • @lykigos

go sing us a song...or if too shame, go suck some dicks.

  • eric never knew his father.

he was abandoned by both his parents.

this is a very personal and childishly hopeful song.

conor, his son, died and he wasn't there to stop it.

eric's story is universal and so is this song of searching.

eric became a man the day his son fell 53 stories.

a working man and a working artist.

    long road down to up.

a bluesman, not someone imitating the blues.

  • @journey46 so true!!! I live something similar.

  • @journey46 Man you got from me : NO COMMENT ! FUCCKING TRUE !

  • @journey46 wow....i'm glad i read this comment before the song started......now i'll just close my eyes and let him talk to me :) thank you so much!

  • @journey46 he was a man before his son died, but ok.

  • Polandloveyou<3

  • EC is still one of the greatest ever guitarists; no, he doesn't play quite like he did as a young guy in the 60s, which is partly a matter of style. On Bluesbreakers records he was playing blues numbers, not his songs, but exploring his own techniques, which was mind boggling, and hence the 'Clapton is God' grafitti. After 3 years of being a heroin junkie, he wrote 461 Ocean Blvd, a terrific album, and a different kind of music from his earlier stuff. His recent stuff is yet another evolution.

  • Itt kezdődik a zene.............!!!

  • what a monster....
