Tell me how it works out when the gov pulls the Wind subsidies and Siemens shutters the plant... It will happen. Siemens does things that make $, not lose $. Wind is a losing biz without government subsidies which we can't afford.
I love the sight of a wind generator gently rotating in the breeze. Making massive electricity with zero effects on the environment. Wake-up America, start farming the Sun And Wind. Let those politicians know America wants and needs a Renewable Energy bill, so we can get off the middle-east oil for good.
New wind mills are far better looking then the old farm ones.
My son works on wind turbines in Elk Grove,Cal. He says where else can you have a office 280 up in the air, And have a view like he does. But he is all so quick to point out he has to climb that 280 feet up in the air 3 to 4 times a day. And as far has his job goes he is a tech. And he trains about 50 people a year to maintaine the trubines. he has to take care of 328 of them.
So, where are all these GREEN JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone on here have a green job???? I think that taking advantage of the wind in Kansas is great, but once the wind turbines are built, the jobs will be gone with the wind....
I love when the delays by the cowardly and corrupted US Senate to pass a Renewable Energy Bill is ignored by companies and entrepreneurs with a vision to help communities who need jobs which are most communities in America.
Siemans -- hiring green? Please allow me to send an resume. I am not a tree-hugger per se, as the gentlemen who speak, there are all types of energy. Can I help! What a WONDERFUL PIECE OF AMERICANA TO ADD TO HUTCHINSON! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
Question It has been a year where is the up date I wish to have purchase your Stock years ago When I got my First Pacemaker that Had a Siemens name on it ...
@BrianShields1958 I bet no one over 45 will or has been hired. Wait till there are fields and fields of wind turbines. This will destroy the beautiful landscape of kansas.. What the heck is a GREEN JOB by the way???
@toddshindler Well, I can't speak for green jobs in Kansas, but I can talk about them in Indiana. I was hired into a "Green Job" at the ripe old age of 51 . . . and I wasn't the only one, there were three of us ancient fossils working at a wind farm in Benton County, Indiana. Most 50+ year old guys I know couldn't handle the physical requirements of climbing the towers, so you won't likely find many working in that kind of job. If you think you can handle it, go for it, dude!

Thats right! those unfortunate souls, if only they had the foresight to put another coal burning power plant there instead, then they would only have to worry about black lung, asthma, bronchitis, and a diseased environment. Why dont you get informed, it's people like you that slow down the progress of humankind. Prove your faith indeed! you have proven it. For centuries, religion has neglected the truth in order to be "right". change your name to "stickinthemud"
they should put some of these turbines inside wrigley field....where da cubs play...for every strike they make its enough to turn the turbines!!!..Free Energy Cubs should go green!!!!.. at least the fans will be happy!!!
@dukee155 I was just wonderin,im lookin to go out there for work ,I here theres some.Thanks.I live on the il iowa border, work stinks here.Zeig heil!!!!!
Well the green jobs are going to China so maybe we should make it easier for industries to be created, with the proper incentives de-regulate a little bit (not to much at least make sure that they are not putting waste near a water pump.
Although this is pure propaganda--directly from the manufacturer and all the way through the governor--this is still a good story. I'm glad to see Siemens marketing their commitment to doing good work in the community. Moreover, it likely doesn't influence anyone's purchasing/etc as no individual is going to be buying a nacelle (of this caliber) for their backyard. But it is a positive message and I'm sure it will have concrete measurable impact on Hutch.
You've gotta be kidding me! Did the creators of this video come from Hutch? I especially liked how the video portrays only portions of town from the downtown area that is derelict. The rest of the video comes from footage of the state fair, this video is horribe.
I love Hutch, just wish there were more things to do!

This is the right approach for our nation's energy future and should be held as an example for economic development and energy security.

Free Energy is real and its here but the coverup is strong, if you are interested in a REAL free energy machine then
just go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and download the blueprints ,it is probably the ONLY working magnet
motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!
