  • This theme came back in RM3.

  • Reid: Swarm!

    Guy: Sword Raid Alph--

    Reid: Neo Swarm!

    Jade: Thunder Bla--

    Reid: Demon Lightning Hammer!

    Luke: Light Spear Cann--

    Reid: Neo Sonic Swarm!

    Me: I give up...

Reid: and don`t come back. :)

  • I just killed these guys. So proud of myself! Granted, it was on Normal, but...

On my second playthrough, I am most definitely picking Hard mode. Just for these guys.

  • @beaternator i just got this game like a week ago i love this shit bro hahaha Luke's a spoiled brat who destroys a town killing hundreds of people. Yuri has nothing on him

  • For such a terrible entry to the series, this had the best fucking cameo battle (that i've seen)

  • @mujiha "terrible entry to the series"?? are you stupid?!!! this is the best tales game in the series after Symphonia, (and my personal favorite) what's wrong with you???

both publicly and professionally this game is the second highest in the tales series ratings worldwide...don't hate on TotA

  • We should be happy that the cameo battle didn't consist of Cless Alvein, Stan Aileron, Reid Hershel, and Kyle Dunamis (0_o) If that happened, I would've crapped in my pants :P

  • wtf is the cameo battle? I thought this was the Nebliem fight, that was pretty everlasting

  • *Thinks I've won the torunaments when Reid and co pops up and pwns me to the beyond.* I knew Reid was a cameo in it. Not just that you had to fight four of them at the same time... Oh lord I died so bad..

  • These 4 dont just represent other Tales. . .

But they are for what I think are the Best of their class. . .

Best Warrior Best Archer Best Support Magic and Best Offense Magic. . .

way before Vesperia is released :3

  • @Zerolimitless Best Warrior should be Cless though, but he was already featured in Eternia, so he can't be a cameo for the 2nd consecutive time lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Everlasting Fight

  • @oflari literally lol

  • @gdastray i didn't notice it was the same title, i feel so stupid lol

  • comboin reid on unknown when suddenly- I WILL NOT LOOOOOOOSE! AROURA WALL!!!! *turns off ps2, sulks in corner*

  • @XxSoulHunter117xX and reid did not use the aurora sword after aurora wall =D!

  • I never thought that music like this played in the cameo battle... I was too busy getting my ass pwned to notice

  • Can I have a download link please?

  • @warhawk059377 The YouTube Converter saved me from asking that question :)

  • @OtakuEpsilonStation "Youtube Converter"?

  • @warhawk059377 yeah a website that converts the links from videos into downloadable files, already listening to this with VLC player :P

  • @OtakuEpsilonStation Are you referring to vidtomp3.com Lol.

I already downloaded this using that.

  • My friend had a separate save file specifically so we could do this battle. Then it magically disappeared >:/

  • It's so hard to listen to the familiar part of the melody without crying and remembering Tales of Phantasia...

  • I live in Norway, so this truly awesome game sadly never got released over here, so I had to have my PS2 chipped in order to play US games, and then had to buy the game from Amazon, which costed me a small fortune.

Probably wouldn't have gone through all the trouble had I known the game would someday be released here on the 3DS, but oh well, it's still one of the greatest games ever made, at least it is in my opinion! :D

  • @dobadobadooo

Same with me. I live in Germany and had to import this game too. And now that the game does come out here I feel slightly trolled D:

    Oh well tough luck.

  • @dobadobadooo 3DS version is a failure. No new content at all. it just makes loading times faster and the glitches are gone. Including the Asch glitch. >_>

  • @samuspoonschief Well, I'm still getting it, if only so Namco will get off their lazy asses and release Tales of Xillia and Vesperia on the PS3 over here as well!! D:<

  • @dobadobadooo ToV PS3 is never coming over here. And Xillia will only come if Graces f sells a ton. So if they don't advertise it well, we won't get Xillia. Don't Expect Abyss 3DS to sell too well either.

  • @samuspoonschief Well, I'm getting Graces the second it is released over here, and I'll be sure to recommend it to all my friends! ;-)

  • @dobadobadooo same.

  • @samuspoonschief Maybe so, but I'm glad that Namco decided to release something for Europe for once.

  • I, who stands in the full light of the heavens commands thee, who opens the gates to hell. Come forth divine lighting! This ends now! .....INDIGNATION!!

  • The fact that we're going to literally carry this song and its battle in the 3DS is a pure wish come true...

  • heh...my friend and i did this on unknown mode with STARTER weapons...

  • @mujiha video or gtfo lol

  • @abrigedon Lol! I wish i could.

  • Cameo Battle....

    Unknown mode

    Reid: Rising Phoenix

    Reid: Flaming Sword...

Party Defeated Game Owned (instead over)

Me: Resetting the PS2 and putting tales of symphonia!!

  • @RJAce1014 u are not a real rpg player my friend

  • @kanetidus how's that? I got tired of being defeated sheeshh, I'm not gonna sit there for a day just trying to defeat it (Like what I did on defeating Yiazmat which took me 7 hrs) A gamer needs a set of games FTW not just to lose the game and keep repeating it like no life aw come on!!

  • @RJAce1014 You said it like you lost once. And it's the feeling of accomplished. BTW Yizmat is utter cake. he just takes a while. But considering you can run in and out he isn't even bad at all.

  • @samuspoonschief Yeah I lost once in cameo battle because it's unknown, even my everyone is 100 their tough without perfect use of strategy. Oh BTW Yiazmat took me 7 hrs because my party is around 60 - 70 and they only do damage like 8000 - 9999 also I forgot the reminder that in half of his life he cast reflectga to us which heals him with renew and repeat another hour. What pisses me off is he uses deathstrike everytime I cast Reverse....

  • @RJAce1014 and it was the same results with farah, Garr, and Meredy acid raian and beast along with arrown spam means your screwed..

  • Even with the later Tales games that came out, this battle still is the best cameo battle in the whole series.

  • In what order do the different songs goo. I know that Raise the cross is last but the other im confused about.

  • @ChangedFigure Read the description

  • @yamicin I did, but I wasnt sure if the was the order the songs went or whether it was just a mash up.

  • Blarg the cameo battles. I spent my prize money to buy items to make up for the ones I used in this fight TT_TT

  • @Emzyska The best thing to do is to save before you fight this battle, then if you lose, just load it again.

  • @ChangedFigure I know, I did beat them. But it cost alot to make up for the items I used during the fight.

  • The cameos are so powerful, they froze my game... -___-'

  • eternal mind plays if Rid activates OVL right?

  • @KONPALegendz Not quite... It switches to Eternal Mind when Reid uses Aurora Wall.

  • Lol two people got soooo pwned by the cameo team that they pressed the dislike button because this song brought back painful memories of failure!!!

  • @TheFrostedHeavens that would be me :'(

  • @TheFrostedHeavens or they used the 3ds version in countries that didnt get the cameos and got pissed off

  • Dona Nobis Pacem and Take up the Cross in the same song is SO FUCKING BADASS.

  • Mint's voice is so much better in this than the GBA version @_@ So is Reid

  • best fight Ever! when I heard Phantasia I was so happy =D

  • My original team: Luke, Tear, Guy, Anise

I chose that team solely because I liked those characters the best, but I later switched Guy with Jade because Guy turned into such a boring character, while Jade made me laugh more and more.

  • @dobadobadooo Guy's not boring! Granted, he's not as funny as Jade or Anise, but he's definitely not boring! >:(

  • @abysswolf48 Okay maybe "boring" isn't the right word for it... IDK, I just felt that every time he had a dialogue it was always about his childhood, or about that Luke is his friend. I just got a little tired of it because I think he had much cooler dialogue at the start of the game, but at the end, he was just so tense it kind of ruined some of the scenes for me.

  • @dobadobadooo Well, maybe you have a point, but I don't really want to go tracking through all the later dialogue in the game to check, so... XD

I like his input to the philosophical discussion with the final boss at the end of the game, and I quite like learning about characters' backgrounds as well, but maybe that's just me?

  • @dobadobadooo

Me and a friend played together and our team was a little different,

    CPU controlling Luke and Natalia

    My friend controlling jade

    and me controlling tear.

and... I can only say one thing...

I, who stand in the full light of the heavens command thee, who opens the gates of hell, come forth divine lightning! This ends now! Indignation!

    WE LOVE INDIGNATION!

too bad that Xbox Tales of Vesperia does not have it :(

  • I don't know why but when Take Up the Cross plays, i get goosebumps :\

  • Guy is without doubt , OP.

Center, Tempest to avoid hi-ougis. Those 2 reasons make Guy already OP.

His ridic speed, the best single-target combos, I could go on and on.

  • i used luke, anise, tear, and guy

  • Rending tiger blade sword rain alpha! i will not loooooooooooooooooooose! some of reids arts and what he says when the computer activates his mystic art!

  • @Sanjixoxo Omega Demon Chaos! Neo Swarm! Aurora Wall ( + Aurora Wave due to healing factor imo lol)!

  • er does it give a coloseum in abyss? with an special enemy ( like Lloyd)?

  • @wurmi32 Yeah it does.

You can fight Reid, Nanaly(Or how to spell her name, the red hair archer from TOD2, mint from TOP and Philla from TOD

  • I use Luke, Tear, Anise and Jade, Abyss and Phantasia are probably the only tales games were the "1melee, 3 spellcasters" setup works well :p

  • 0:00 - 0:13 My favorite part :)

  • what's the name of the song when akzeriuth fell and john (the little boy) sunk into the miasma?

  • i love dis battle !!! best combination ive done 4 awhile: Tear-Tutti, Jade-Nocercido(i think thts the name) Anise-Grandioz, Natalia-Lunatito

  • I think I hear some 'Fighting of the Spirit' in there

  • It's odd, I changed my team on my seccond playthrough of this game, and the strategy set up I had WRECKED the Cameo team. There were FoF's going off everywhere.

I was using Guy, Tear, Jade, and Anise. I was using Guy cause I used luke first playthrough, and also, Guy has glory at this point, and luke doesn.t |D

Needless to say, I took it early in the story, so I don't think I can do it on hard, but I have a save file from right before, so I'm gonna try. Awesome music though.

  • Ahh I remember when my team (Luke, Tear, Jade & Guy) was pawned by those cameos when opposing for the first time. I didn't know I could use items so yeah. :/ *the team was wiped out like, in a minute*

    And now I'm afraid to face them again. XD;

  • @Lynsiel yes they can be difficult. I actually didn't use Guy in this battle, I used Anise and her Ressurection, learned via accessory stolen from arietta. So I had Luke, Tear, Jade, and Anise. Oh and I so recently discovered, if its your first run through the game, you can actually use all of the characters second MA"s plus extensions. Try it, if it worked for me, it'll work for you.

  • @Shu512

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to steal the necessary accessory to activate Resurrection from Arietta when I fought her. I actually like to use Anise if Natalia's in the party because one, she can cast Barrier and two, she can heal Anise immediately if her HP is low.

Thanks for the tips though I doubt I will replace Guy or Luke with Anise. XD I'll try fight 'em later.

  • @Lynsiel Well everyone hardest time with them must have been the first time they fought the cameo's. Like my team was Guy, Tear, Natalia and Anise. I won but it took me like ten minutes.

  • @Shu512

... I think you won because Guy was like "OH SH-- GIRLS!? And the enemies too!? I'm so gonna win this! *with scared face*"

XDDD Though beating them around 10 minutes is okay I guess. I had a hard time fighting the Liger Queen with Very Hard mode on my 3rd playthrough lol. But the grade I achieved made me went "WOW!" for a while.

  • @Lynsiel Grade on unknown is like wowz, hyper grade, get likes one thousand grade from only two boss battles(Nebilim and Cameos). And get two hundred off of one God General fight, Sync much.

  • @Shu512

Oh that's good to remember. Currently on my first proper playthrough (played before but missed so much), so might not be a bad idea to pick up on the harder mode soon, huh...?

  • @LeanceHP True and total monster killing overhaul is needed. Add like 3 mystic artes to one boss and boom normal grade plus bonus = Happy Light*Anise*

  • damn it's so difficult to stagger philia and mint when they are casting a spell in unknown mode , same thing for reid

  • Yeah, it is an "Everlasting Fight", it took me an additional +52 Hours on gameplay timer due to countless re-attempts and prepartions to defeat these guys on hard mode, BTW, No Game Faqs/Cheats/2nd Hand Strategy/ and Guided Core Settings, imagine how screwed up my situation is~ :p I managed to defeat them the moment the skies were about to become red again.

  • @PotatoCheat

All divide really helps in battles where you have a feeling you're gonna get nuked. Infact if I recall I beat the cameo battle with all characters around level 50 on normal mode thanks to all divide. Exploting free run to wait for them to attack then attack from behind is an easy way to win.

Since the AI is retarded and cant dodge spells All divide helps them live. It makes the battle longer and more fun too!

  • @gansta432 @gansta432 Yeah, All Divide really does helps a lot, however, I'm so stingy on items, especially the Rare ones, (except for the Orange Gels and some other TP Recoveries) I beat these guys using only 2 Life Bottles, the rest of the resurrection process lies on Mystearica's ability.

All and all, I love the Optional Boss Battles on Tales of the Abyss, Nephilim's wicked! :p

  • @PotatoCheat my second playthrough I fought them and I was like WTF. I wasn't at my best and got my ass handed to me(NATALIA). I tried it again 23 levels later and won...using all my life bottles and pineapple gels in the process.

  • @Shu512 It seems you had it tough on your part too, it's good to hear that you made it out after all! XD

We "Tales" series fans really loves being tortured with Over-Stats Enemies, huh? :p

  • @PotatoCheat yeah it was fun, Natalia did cause my first loss(died to quickly) but it was thanks to the spell she learned Revive, that I was able to pull a fast one on the opposition. A Fortune's Arc wasn't so bad either.

  • @Shu512 Hahaha, Fortune's Ark is indeed a life saver~ XD

    That reminds me, I'm yet to finish the unknown mode, I'm so busy these past few months and never had the time to play RPG's and now that I'm somewhat free, then these new RPG titles came, man... I'm booked! -_-;

  • @PotatoCheat I always say when it comes to RPG's old before the new(in priceing terms, I mean highest I've seen was 60 bucks). Unknown mode is like god striking you down in so many ways(mystic artes, and hellish spells). I beat the whole game on unknown at times 10 exp...regardless of my very high levels, I was pwned, not to death but close to it.

  • @Shu512 Yeah, levels alone won't be really much of a help on Unknown Mode.

I bought every good features the Point Shop has to offer, and it took me +219 hours of my previous gameplay, just to earn that much points, and when I began my journey on the Unknown Mode... It was like... What the hell??? The first battle took me 10-15 Mins or so with that Wild Boar! with an Initial damage of... 1!

  • @PotatoCheat I know, that happened to me. I was like wait why is my damage output so friggin low. I had to use a mystic arte to actually deal a good chunk of damage to the thing.

  • @Shu512 Yeah, good chunks of multi-hit damage of 1 HP per hit! (^o^)

  • @PotatoCheat so true for Luke, Tear was able to hit hundreds due to fonic artes...holy lance worked well.

  • @Shu512 Hmm... I see, I only spent Tear's TP for a light healing, and most of my attacks were just cheap shots~ XD I'm aiming for a 100+ Combo but I couldn't because I lack Max TP at that moment~ :p

  • @PotatoCheat I never found a way to even get over 100 hits. I literally thought it was impossible. I got as high as 74 thanks to lucky dazing hits on Largo the other time you fight him.

  • @Shu512 Hahaha, yeah, knocking them off would increase your chance of earning another hit of chain combo, but there is an easier way of achieving a 100+ combo or 200+ if it would go all well.

A lifting attack followed by some mid-air strikes and followed up by ground lifting or ground to air attack with over-spam Quick-Cast Fonic Artes will do the job.

Well, just make sure to wear weak weapons so they wouldn't be killed so fast on the Unknown Mode.

  • @PotatoCheat now I have to ask how to do all of that and with which characters it is best done with.

  • @Shu512 My line up is, Luke, Guy, Jade, and Tear.

Luke: use a Slug Assault + Havoc Strike + Slug Assault.

Guy: Tiger Blade +Soaring Light Spear + Tempest

    Jade: Stalagmite

    Tear: Nightmare

    ===

Just make sure to use Cobalt Chambers, and appropriate AD Skills so it would all go smoothly, BTW. all has to be on Semi-Auto Mode, so you could utilize Guy's

skills, it's my personal combo set, so it might take a while for you to perfect it.

And drag the enemy to the corner for an easy work.

  • @PotatoCheat so I have to inter change between the four of them. Like at the near end of the combos started by the person before right. What about the spell though when should they be started? As well as what AD skills are needed. I have a perfect file all my character have all AD skills so what should I look for?

  • @Shu512 You just have to focus on Luke, maximize the aggressiveness of your allies, and quickly switch to Guy when your 2nd Slug Assault is about to be initiated. You don't have to switch to Guy everytime. you just have to do it when he's idle.

And you don't have to switch with the Casters, just use a shortcut button.

Since you have all of the AD Skills needed, and I think it's safe to assume you have 2 pcs of Mystic Symbol, then all should be fine~ v(^o^)v

  • @Shu512 Whooops... I meant, "SLAG" Assault, sorry for the typo, I was too preoccupied giving advices and didn't notice it at all. LOL, it sounds like a swarm of Slugs were attacking somebody~ XD

  • @PotatoCheat When I saw the slug assault, the first thing that popped in my head was luke using the arte and tons of slugs jumping out of the ground. A useful attack if you wish to completely gross out your opponent.

  • @Shu512 True indeed, and LOL with the thought~ :p

  • @PotatoCheat Luke: uses slug assault on arietta.

    Arietta0.0 s...sl...SSSLLLLUUUUGGGGSSSS, AAAAH!

    *Anise LOL*

Guy: Wasn't it supposed to be Slag Assault. Luke: Uhhh

    Tear: Idiot.

  • @Shu512 LOL, that's so Luke! :p

I just can Imagine how Arietta would react at that situation! XD

And Tear are as cold as ever~ (-_-)

  • @PotatoCheat oh I think I might have found an infinite combo thing with Guy. This is best used with severing wind and guys Void Tempest combined with a sunlight chamber on void tempest. Max out the sunlight chamber in the FSC and when in battle have Guy use Severing Wind and once he hits the ground use void tempest. With the sunlight chamber it will change to Dragon Tempest. Hold the left control stick to move toward the monster targetted to keep it going. It works try it out.

  • @Shu512 Now, that's what I call, "Progression!" Yep, an F.O.F. is generated when Severing Wind is used, but too bad, I don't have any spare Sunlight Chambers at the moment, for I use it only on Enchanced Buffing, like "Heat Coil".

But I would try it out next time, because I don't have much HDD Space on my PS2.

I'm currently playing, Another Century Episode:3 and Gundam SEED Generation of C.E.~ XD

  • @PotatoCheat BTW, please do take a look on my channel, I just uploaded 2 new videos, you might want to play it too~ (^-^)

  • @PotatoCheat hmmm thank you I'll go take a look.

  • @Shu512 I'm planning to upload some in-game demo soon, so you could get a glimpse out of it. (^-^)

  • @PotatoCheat sweet I'll make sure to take a look. Oh and you know how in TotA everyone has a second mystic arte? And how everyone says you can't use them or extenstions to them until your second time through? Well, they are correct, I tried using Tear's fortune's arc on my first playthrough today. It worked extenstion and all, same for lost fon drive, I was shocked.

  • @Shu512 Now that you mentioned it, it seems it had occurred to me too, I dunno, maybe I had forgotten something important like, I already had finished the game and made a Clear System Data, loaded my old save file, and things like the extensions would work in doing so.

But if that happens out the scenario I've said above, then you're one lucky Dude! XD

  • @PotatoCheat Ok excuse the are correct part I meant aren't correct. I used everyone's second MA on my first playthrough, which I was shocked at like I said. Gawd, Nebilim and the Cameo's are hell on the first run especially on hard mode. I had to do normal for both cause they whooped me on hard. Its just the power difference from normal to hard is just crank shotted up. Oh and I did a funny thing. I put Tear soloing Legretta no armor no items no death, Hard.

  • @Shu512 Ah, lol, now I know what you mean. :p

And yep, Nebilim could wipe your party clean in Hard Mode, took me almost an hour+ to defeat her, And whoah, you defeated Legretta on 1 vs 1 without any armors on hard mode? Cool! XD

And btw, never fight an optional boss without any armor on the Unknown Mode, it's like measuring a Skyscraper Building with a 12 inch Ruler~ :p

  • @PotatoCheat Yes and let me tell you, very difficult if your doing that and trying to keep the other members alive. Curse Legretta and her Eclair de' Larmes. Its almost as bad as her owning Guy with Prism Bullet, he was no where near her and what happens...at the end where she shoots that laser owned him so bad, I was just mind-f'd

  • @Shu512 Since you loved RPG too, would you like to play Namco X Capcom?

But tell me first if your PS2 is using an HDL or been modified. I could give you the links of it, I tell you it's cool! Sthan Aeleron and Rutee from ToD is also there as well as KOS-MOS, MOMO, and Shion from Xenosaga Episode 1!

btw, we're currently playing it now, and you don't have to worry about the language, it's already been translated to english by patches, Thanks to those guys who made a wonderful effort~ :)

  • @PotatoCheat Ok my PS2 has never been modified and I actually have no clue what and HDL is. I've actually heard of Namco X Capcom, but never actually played it. And thanks for the new on translations.

  • @Shu512 Ah, an HDL stand for: Hard Disk Loader, or PS2 HDD Loader.

You can install an HDD in your PS2 provided with a Network Adapter.

If your unit is a Bulky one, then you can attach an HDD built with Matrix OS.

And if you happen to be using a Slim Line, there is still chance for you to make an HDL out of it.

Loading is so lightning fast, and reduces the slowdowns in the game, you can play TotA's random encounters in 1 sec time frame, play Gundam Rengou vs Zaft loads less than a second!

  • @PotatoCheat I have a slim one, and from what I've gathered a HDL basically helps with the PS2's loading time making it shorter...now I gotta say that would be useful.

  • @Shu512 Yep, and not only it makes the load time faster, it saves the lifespan of your lens too, and so does with your CD's, you can save them to get a scratch from time to time each time you're mounting them, and it also helps your PS2's overall performance rate, because there is less work for it to process and all the necessary data were now installed within the HDD. I gotta say you need it, Dude, you can download backup copies on the net. Especially the Unofficial Translated Patches like ToD2

  • @PotatoCheat So it decreases load time so you don't have to sit there for five minutes looking at the loading...screen, and it saves the disks from being scratched...and increased performance rate...well like yes I do need one. My PS2 has gotten so slow with old age, some games won't play on it anymore(to my very great sadness), and some take like a full hour just to load scenes, and sometimes freezes on them. How can I get one...are they for sale or do I need to do a computer connection?

  • @Shu512 Yep, it does help a lot, and you're lucky, there's a lot of way for you to enjoy the benefits of an HDD, but tell me your Model number first, it reads like: SCPH#

  • @PotatoCheat That wouldn't happen to be on the box it came it would it, cause I threw that away. Heh heh, ewwww.

  • @Shu512 Yep, there's one on the box and the other one were placed underneath the console, or on it's sides, I need to know your model# so I could give you an appropriate advise, because there is a recent model of Slimlines which cannot be converted at all, because having an HDL means you can also gain an access of downloading free games on the net.

  • @PotatoCheat oh I have a slim PS2 but I got that one when the first line of slims went out on sale. I'll go check the #, and get right back to you.

  • @Shu512 Hmm, hearing that seems your unit is on a safe side, but I'll wait for your model number to get things right, I'll be replying after 6 or 7 hours of this message, I need to sleep now, Dude, see yah!

  • @PotatoCheat *snort* oh I'm sorry I fell asleep in front the computer again...I feel dizzy.

  • @Shu512 lol

  • @PotatoCheat Ok I got that number thing it was SCPH 70012. I believe that is the number I read.

  • @Shu512 Dude, I'm back, sorry for the late reply, please kindly check your Inbox, I just sent you a message on how to make an HDD out of your PS2 Slimline~

  • "here i stand

facing the best of the best

lock in a etrenal struggle has far a the eye can see

i vow to win, so now perpare

    for my FANG BLADE!!"

  • I love this song!

I used Luke, Guy, Tear, and Jade!

  • Long song.. doesn't detract from its awesomeness, though.

  • When I played this game for the first time, my friend played Luke and I played as Guy, we did it on Hard. And this battle was freakin' hard!

  • This is probably my favorite battle theme in Tales of the Abyss. The segments of older themes from other Tales games makes it very nostalgic, plus the Dona Nobis Pacem (1:48-2:01) and Take Up the Cross (2:25-2:36) bits in particular received especially epic remixes.

  • @Epsilonyx : Isn't 1.05 - 1.24 also Dona Nobis Pacem?

I think they split Dona Nobis Pacem theme into two parts.

  • i think this theme would have hit home with me had i played eternia and destiny. i heard destiny battle theme before so i can recognize it and i love phantasia so yeah :)

  • Best theme in the entire game!!

  • when i fought in this fight i only heard about 20 sec of this song when i didn't pause 10 secs :(

those damn cameo owned me to the moon and back.

  • noob de mierda

el mejor equipo es Luke, Tear ( jugjement), Anise (con resurrection) guy ,

The best team is Luke Tear Anise and Guy . dude ...

  • no manches ni al caso, anise por favor es mala en todo ecepto en recivir golpes n00b tu

lol anise is only good at receiving punches u are the n00b

  • Anise no es mala. La tengo siempre en mi equipo en la arena (pero yo no la controlo) y ademas de recibir golpes y ser la que mas dura, tiene una fuerza impresionante. En melee anda bastante bien, muchas veces es la que salva las papas.

Anise is not bad, shes fkin awesome, good tank and very strong too. She can deal everything.

  • mmmh si es mala, tiene mala personalidad, tendra de todo tipo de ataques pero tiene muy pocos stats y es muy lenta

mmmh no, anise in fact sux, she have no personality at all, and maybe she is a mix of everything but her stats are bad and she is the slowest character

  • Me and my friends we used: Guy, Jade, Tear and Luke and we did very well.

  • @DemonicSentry4 thats the way to go baby, anise and natalia are cool but they are kind of awkward to control.

  • @keybladeblastcalibur Anise is easy to control. Tokunaga's better attacks have a bunch of lag tho.

  • oh and the tales of phantasia sounds more like Ability test... sounds like it has the same base chords

  • The composer for most tales games..pretty sure Motoo Fijiwara was it? composed this games music but it seems to me Sakuraba composed this track

  • Motoi Sakuraba did most of the music in this game as well.

  • no Mototi Sakuraba and Hiroshi Tamura are the main composers

  • Every one that's actually good knows that having Tear on the team holds you back..

Natalia, Anise, Guy, and Jade is definitely a team that is fully versed in all types of strategies. Some may argue that Luke would be a better substitution for Guy and I would agree, but only because of his easily-accessible FoF changes.

Another decent team is Natalia, Anise, Tear, and Guy. Really this team should be used if you're worried about dying too quickly. Natalia should be able to manage though.

  • Two things I would just like to say: Firstly, dissing Tear is basically dissing her fan base and those who ACTUALLY like to use her (besides I wouldn't know because I don't have the game but I KNOW her speed issues can be fixed). Secondly, you contradicted yourself wth that second tem you mentioned. Moral of the story: NEVER judge skill on character preferences.

  • Aren't you cute? Making bold statements when you don't even have the game.

Well whatever, you made some really good points so I'm going to bow out, before this becomes an argument.

Basically the moral of this story: Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and declaring arguable statements is begging for negative responses.

  • @mayborneflower amen, my tear became a tank my 3rd playthrough lol and she was faster than all of my other characters hands down lol

  • @mayborneflower Well, Tear's speed was fixed in RM, as was Luke's, to fit everyone else's speed, I suppose.

  • Best Cameo Fight theme. I wish Graces Cameo Theme has more ToD2 sound.

  • I love this game/anime... and the music....Sakuraba is freaking cool!
