  • Well, I first heard this by the Doors as a teenager. Jim sang this with a lot of emotion and so does Willie. Of course, Willie wrote this blues masterwork, I believe for Howling Wolf . This is awesome. as noted below, the Doors did credit Willie on their album and didn't rip him off as so many other rockers have done with blues standards.

  • @Kalooookalay the harp player is Norton Buffalo

  • where`s the volume ????????????????????

  • Willie Dixon ( who i knew personally) wrote SO many songs that SO many others "borrowed", its not even funny! This man is one of the ALL time Legendary Blues men tied neck & neck only w/ John Lee Hooker who too was a prolific song writer & who, i also knew. Reason being that my 1st husband was a concert promoter during late 60's early 70's who took them on cross Cn. & Western US tours several times & helped get them the kind of recognition they so richly deserved.

  • Great post! Any idea who the other musicians are (esp. the guy on harp) and when this was?

  • @Kalooookalay is it norton buffalo?

  • Actually the Doors did credit Dixon on their first album, so his heirs do get the publishing royalties for it.
