Physical copies are much better. Games I purchase from the marketplace on Xbox Live aren't always playable. For instance, when I moved & my internet wasn't connected for a few days I couldn't play Mega-man 9 or Trials HD. I was not happy.

I will never buy a digital version of a game, I always like to have the option of selling it on through eBay (or any other auction site), however it would be nice if technology came up with a way of selling on digital copies of games/films etc... that you have purchased, however I think this would be very difficult to regulate. As in making sure that the original owner no longer owns that digital copy. ie. It has been deleted from their hard drive and transferred to the buyers hard drive.

Digital distribution is great I got left 4 dead 2 on steam for $5 and I got portal for $30 and with the summer sales everything is soo cheap I can't complain and besides who buys games that old. If you have ever downloaded full game in XBLA's "on demand" thingy it take a damn long time to download a full retail game and personally i prefer hardcopies for the sake of collection and also selling and earning credit towards new games like you said. It costs money on Xbox as Microsoft has a very small update size limit, which on PC and PS3 is pretty much unlimited, so with Portal 2, PS3 and PC will get free DLC, Xbox will have to pay.

You're right about the difficulty level. On Expert difficulty they should turn the damage done by spec. infected down, but the current settings would be perfect for hardcore mode (I don't know if that's what it's called), as long as there are no further achievements added for beating the game on hardcore.

I used to like digital distribution, until Fallout: New Vegas. 8 hours into the game it literally becomes unplayable because there are so many bugs and it crashes so often. Bethesda's response to everyone's complaints: don't trade the game, we'll fix everything in a patch.

I think that's total bullshit. It's a scam to pay $60 for a game that won't even run without a patch. And if you can't connect your xbox to the internet, you're screwed.
