Yes Nastia is not so keen on smiling...but that is called focusing on her routine...in her interviews she is nice.

But Shawn Johnson is always smiling,she is simply adorable and cute and very sweet!!!

i found out. It was at worlds 2007 team final. She slipped and avoided a fall by changing her dismount. Her score was 15.175 and the score was better then if she had fallen.

It depends... in this case with Nastia doing that handstand- that's a fall, they still deduct for it

Actually for that it's only .5 deduction to touch the apparatus to regain balance as a opposed to the .8 deduction for falling.

No, it was a .5 deduction because her B-score was 9.15, so if it was a fall then the judges would have only taken off .05, which is very unlikely.

I'm not saying it is, but I was arguing that touching the beam is only a .5 deduction not a full .8. Therefore if the judges had taken the full .8 deduction, aside from the "fall" Nastia would have only made .05 worth of deductions throughout the exercise, which is impossible in the new COP. 9.15 for touching the beam is pretty good, meaning that aside from that mistake, the judges only took off .35, which is probably as close to perfect as we'll ever see.

Thats a really good question, I'm not exactly sure. I would think not, since falling has been increased to 1.0 which is devastating enough without the added .5.
