  • who was denver supposed to bench for Decker? Lloyd? uhh not with the way he played. Gaffney? no Gaffney knows the system and was more productive than people think. Royal? probably him but after his rookie season they still want to hope that he can perform like. And Thomas is going to play more because he was the higher pick. Now with a new coaching staff he'll get his chance

  • @BeastlySKRONK Gaffney has always been mediocre, so what if he knew the system, so what if Thomas was a higher pick? he's lost most of his speed after the injuries. The Best players should play, regardless of the situation. You say play Gaffney because he knew the system but then say play Royal because of "upside" and what he might do. Royal hasn't done much since his rookie season, coaches should be able toe evaluate that in practice.

  • the Broncos never used Decker. its BS. if you draft a WR with that much talent, you should use him

  • @ChaseTylerA he lacks pigment, those kind of receivers have to serve an apprenticship before they can play. Welker wasn't used for his first few years, Kevin Curtis didn't get much playing time until 30. Jordy Nelson is still sitting behind the aging Donald Driver who can't even beat a linebacker in a foot race. Ed McCaffrey was 30 before they really used him in an offense. To be fair they mature slower and are late bloomers, thats why guys like Favre last until 40 and others peak at so young

  • im glad MN still has some nice receivers like mcknight and gray. im excited to see how they do next season and how our next QB is going to be! Weber graduated from my highschool so its kind of interesting to see whos going to replace him.

  • haha minnesota is losing in almost all these games. they fuckin blow

  • @alphamania24 awww yeah u forget he plays for the piece of shit gophers?

  • @MadisonSkeet Uh, don't you mean "played" for the Gophers? Last I checked he plays for the Denver Broncos. Semantics, I know.

  • Is he on IR at Denver??..I never hear him mentioned

  • @Mixtupabit hes not being used. McDaniels isn't interested in winning.

  • some sick hands he has

  • eric decker is a beast!!!! he had the best hands in college football.

  • GOphers. Im from mn and i think Minnesota is gonna be terrible this year. but ive always been an OU fan so whatev but i ALWAYS root for the Gophers. I cant believe Decker plays NFL and MLB. Broncos and Twins

  • Maybe if we had a coach and college players, not high school players we could be good. ever since we got Brewster we suck more, South Dakota really..........REALLY!!!

  • @MinnEsohtAH maybe if they stopped going to places like florida to recruit overrated guys because they have "stars" by their names and instead recruited in their own backyard, because the funny thing is, South Dakota is actually good, and they recruit in state instead of getting rejects from the south that no sec school wanted

  • @dwid1984 percy harvin, joe haden, aaron hernandez,

maurkice pouncey all seem to be doing well for themselves and living up to their hype so far. i wouldnt say theyre overrated

  • @ag2407 all of those guys played FOR florida, do you have reading comprehension skills? I said they wind up getting rejects from florida, guys that were passed up by the sec, and there are like a dozen teams in florida already recruiting that place

  • wow that hit against Cal cathes at the one gets absolutly Lit up and still holds the ball thats how to play WR

  • @TerrorWarrior5000 get lost troll. Stop trying discredit talented players by making up shit

  • Eric Decker is incredible. These college highlights impress one similarly to some of the great NFL receivers with great hands, their NFL highlights: Ed McCaffrey, Lance Alworth, & Fred Belitnikoff; at least Decker's already somewhat comparable. The radio color guy in a recent Broncos preseason game involuntarily exclaimed after a Decker catch that those were veteran NFL instincts he was displaying.

The Broncos need to make him their go-to receiver, like Eddie Mac; just need another Rod Smith.

  • get healthy!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rip2729 he is healthy, he had 5 catches for 66 yards yesterday

  • @dwid1984 oh i didnt even know still where Bay-Bay is he at least gonna be ready by week 1 and is D.J gone for the year

  • whats the name of the song in the beginning?:)

  • @benget93 it is from the soundtrack from gladiator the movie. not sure of the name. hope this helps.

  • the name of the song in the beginning please!:)

  • I like the fact that he can find the creases in the defense...Shows great burst off the line...not going to beat ya deep but can go up and grab a jump ball...Seems like a physical receiver...catches the ball with his body a few times then i like to see though but that can be worked on...I also like that his career had been pretty consistent despite the injury last year...I would hate to face the Broncos in a year or two when Thomas and Decker are more experienced

  • this kid got hands cant wait to see him suited up as a BRONCO.... lets go denver

  • So glad we got this dude! Playoffs Baby!

  • I cant wait to see him on sundays playing for the Broncos!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Eric, congratulations on being selected by the Denver Bronco's in the 2010 NFL Draft. I know that you are excited and are looking forward to August 15 when you all travel to Paul Brown Stadium to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. Best of luck in your pro football career.

  • best tandom in 2013, tebow to decker, mark my words

  • and hes white!!!!

  • I like that this guy can catch the ball in traffic. Go Broncos!

  • ED MCCAFFERY'S MINI ME! LOL

  • @Brooklynbroncofan ed mccaffrey was 6'5 215, Eric is 6'2 and 215, which means he is packing more muscle on his frame

  • @dwid1984 good observation! thats a scary thought and eddy seems to like eric and wants to help him out personally. I gues E-mac reached out to son PERSONALLY. If you have as guy like eddie mac ONE OF THE TOUGHEST WIDEOUTS TO PLAY, signing off on you then you must be a BEAST!!!!

  • 6:16 WHOOO!!!

  • @Mixtupabit Do you watch football, by any chance? Obviously you don't watch the Patriots, because you said Welker doesn't make moves after the catch...Welker had the most YAC for a receiver last season, and he is absolutely nothing like Decker. Decker was my favorite college player, and Welker is one of my favorite NFL WRs, so I know what I'm talking about unlike you. And I really really hope you are joking about making catches against college teams...try making one while your the only threat

  • could be a welker type..doesn't seem fast enough on this clip..Hey,I could catch five passes against Scuse..

  • @Mixtupabit i guess u didnt notice the other 8 minutes of video besides Syracuse. I swear people have low attention spans. He had 9 catches against Syracuse for 183 yards, 20 yards per catch. I guess you could do that right? I guess you could also put up 120+ yards on Cal and Wisconsin as well while being your teams only receiving threat. Hes nothing like Welker, at all. Welker is a quick slot receiver, Decker is a physical outside receiver like Boldin, Crabtree, etc. Decker is faster than both

  • not to mention he had an ankle injury the entire year

  • @dwid1984 ..well I wish him all the best..and that he lasts more than five games a season in the NFL...the Welker comparison was more on the possession receiver type..good hands ,finds the creases but no blazing speed or moves after the catch..and I prob could get some catches on Cal and Wiscy's pass D !! ha ha..

  • @Mixtupabit why would he only last 5 games? Hes almost identical to Crabtree, except didnt play @ Tech Welker does tons after the catch, he led the league with yards after the catch several years and was like second another. Have you even seen Welker play? He is THE quickest receiver out there, hes like a freaking bunny rabbit, its one thing to have straight line speed, that means fast, but hes quick, which is more important in the nfl, because rarely do receivers run in a straight line, his

  • and your ignorance is showing if you think you could get catches against cal or wisconsin, you probably wouldn't even get a catch against middle tennesee state.

  • @Mixtupabit ..well I hope he has a stellar career in Denver.I'm a Pack fan so maybe he will turn into a Jordy Nelson type...Although I follow the Irish in college ( we all have our crosses to bare) I have had a soft spot for Texas Tech since the Kliff Kingsbury days, so I do know a bit about Welker and Crabtree.. always liked Wes and hope he makes a complete recovery. Finally even Stevie Wonder could catch against the Blue Raiders..

  • @Mixtupabit thats not funny middle ten is my NCAA team... after watching "high"lights of mid ten and playing as them im sure about anyone could catch a few passes on them. Eric Decker is going to be good he as stokley to teach him.

  • shipley is better

  • @wowcreve I wasn't aware that there a competition between the two. They have 2 totally different skillsets. Just because they are both white doesn't mean you have to compare them, or is there some sort of rule that only 1 white receiver is allowed to be good per year. Decker is great at what he does, and Shipley is great at what he does.

  • This dude reminds me on Anquan Boldin, big, physical and great hands, between Royal, Decker and Thmas, Denver will have one of the best receiving corps in the NFL within the next 5 years. If Tebow adjusts well to the NFL whats out for Denver.

  • What's the song in the beginning?

  • This guys is good. He is not the fastest WR, but has amazing hands, and has the hops. He will be a great addition to the Denver Broncos wide reciever corps..

  • as for not many yac, he was his team's only receiving threat, teams usually double covered him. Played on a hurt ankle for most of the year, OSU is when it got so bad that he couldn't play anymore. his qb was horrible, couldn't anticipate routes, many times Decker would be open and he would wait to throw, how many catches on here do you see Decker slowing down for, or stopping all together? how many times does he have to adjust/jump to a poorly thrown ball?rarely hit in stride with a nice pass

  • the receiver lined up opposite of him only had 26 catches for 301 yards the entire year. Their second leading receiver was the tight end. The coach decided to switch from a spread offense in 08, to a more running type offense in 09, which would make sense since most of the receiver suck, but it doesn't make sense when all of the backs suck, leading rusher had 376 yards 3.8 ypc, so the total passing yards decreased and rushing yards decreased in the new scheme. Its amazing Decker did so well

  • but, the one person that did improve was Decker, his yards per catch went from 12 to 15, they went more vertical, Weber just didn't have the arm or the decision making skills to put the ball on the money. Decker had to use his skill/athleticism to adjust to his poorly thrown passes, the other receivers couldn't catch those..Weber did much better when they used more shorter passes. In 08 he had 15 tds to 8 int. In 09 13 tds to 15 interceptions. His completion ratio dropped from 62 percent to 52

  • huh....so white men CAN jump! lol, welcome to denver

  • Adam Weber is crying, somewhere

  • your gonna have one hell of a career in denver kid

  • i like the jedi mind in the background< and this guys gonna be a beast for the broncos i was at the game against cuse i kno it was cuse but stil man he took over. thomas, decker, royal, gaffney i think broncos are set at reciever and hey got stokley whos old but still a great 3rd down guy that moves the chains

  • welcome to denver

  • wats the name of this song?

  • @MAV3N303 second one? sounds like diabolic or ill bill, whoever it is they have made a song with immortal technique cos it sounds familiar :p

  • fucking horrible song. but good plays. i just cant stand the song

  • He seems reliable to get that 1st down when you need it. so for that hell yea. good pick. Go Broncos!

  • the new denver bronco

  • He looks like a really agressive reciever who's not afraid to get down and dirty... you can see him pushing or holding the corners when he's doing the routes... i like it =)

  • Denver Broncos Baby!!!!

  • the newest denver bronco reciever hells yeah

  • i watch him and he really remind me of ED MCCAFFERY..good pick

  • @hmoobhawjlady You know, I was reading a different post a little while ago and someone said that this guy plays like Wes Welker and would make a great slot receiver. But the whole time I was watching this video, I was thinking that his style was a lot like Eddie's too. Good call and an accurate one at that! He doesn't have that impressive speed on the field but he has good hands and can hustle.

  • 2nd reciever drafter by my DENVER BRONCOS!

  • ima a bronco fan. we took this guy. hmmm. If McD takes my best value boy Kyle Williams (ASu) i will become a believer!!! right now looks like he is completely off the radar.

  • He is the new Wes Welker in the Denver system.

  • i think hes going to be a great addition to the broncos woohoo

  • denver bronco baby

  • Reminds me of Ed McCaffrey, welcome 2 Denver, Eric!!

  • Hes gona go good with damaryus thomas. Both 6'3 200+ pound receivers. they gona get good instruction from vets like stokley and gaffney.

  • the next ED MCCAFFERY!

  • GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!

  • If all you see of this guy, he looks like an incredible possession receiver. Not really much as far as YAC, but he catches everything.

  • this guy looks solid, the only concern from watching the tape is he doesn't seem to do all that much after the catch - 0:45 he should have scored.

That said he looks like a solid route runner and has sure hands so i'm sure he'll excell in the leauge

  • he is coming to washington

  • Yes, Decker's a top 5 WR. IMO R. Cooper like B. White is only a top 10 WR. Both could end up being very good if they max their potential. Decker doesn't have as much upside as those 2, but is a very consistent, great route runner, w/ quicks, some agility & great hands. Decker's a more reliable player than Cooper & White currently. Shipley reminds me of retired NFL WR Tim Brown, a taller Welker or maybe fellow '10 draftee Gilyard, not the fastest, but great route running & short area quickness.

  • This guy can be another Wes Welker but the taller version.

  • reminds me of austin collie from the colts

  • wasn't this song in some movie?

  • Comment removed

  • Good not great but could always be developed into a good WR at the next level. Has the tools and seems to be pretty well rounded though.

  • Some betchhh, idk :/

  • @Rjk445: I love youu(:

  • @jamiiieee123 I love you too, and HAHA who marked your comment as spam lol

  • @jamiiieee123 HAHAHAH

  • If Decker wasn't injured he'd probably be my #1. I dropped Crabtree to #3 last year after hurting his ankle behind 1. Maclin, 2. Harvin.

    4. Austin Collie, 5. Darrius Hayward Bey ( bought the hype after the fast 40, not a bust yet, but has started off bad). My top 5 looked more accurate than Todd McGay &Mel "Kiper Your analysis off my T.V please". Decker is similar to Crabtree, with a more mature demeanor. The top 3 guys are good this yr. which is why Decker dropped to 4th due to injury.

  • BTW, Decker's estimated 40 time is 4.54. That's faster than Dez Bryant est. 4.58, Demariyius Thomas 4.58, Jordan Shipley 4.57, Brandon Lafell 4.6, Arrelious Benn 4.56, Mardy Gilyard 4.56 and even the tiny Dexter McCluster 4.55/4.58.

A 4.54 is faster than the average WR at the NFL combine and comparable to the 4.5 or so that the avg. NFL starter runs.

  • He's my 4th ranked WR! My top 15:

    1. Golden Tate 2. Dez Bryant 3. Damion Williams 4. Eric Decker 5. Demaryius Thomas 6. Jordan Shipley, 7 Blair White, 8. Brandon Lafell 9. Riley Cooper 10. Arrelious Benn 11. Mardy Gilyard 12. Taylor Price 13. Jacoby Ford 14. Carlton Mitchell 15 Dexter McCluster

  • wow this guys is really good i assume he wont be going first round maybe 2nd round early 3rd thats my best bet looks like whatever team grabs him is gunna have a good steal

  • i cant stand mike mayock.. and the other draft analyst bucky brooks they dont know shit on nfl network

  • excellent possession wr

  • very underrated. cant coach speed, which he lacks, but you also cant coach the type of toughness he has, and his extremely strong/good hands. his route running ability is already good.

  • mike mayock doesnt have him in his top 5

  • who cares what mike mayock has in his top 5. Austin Collie led the nation in receiving and wasn't in anybodys top 5, hes performed like a 1st round receiver his rookie year

  • @dwid1984 Austin Collie also had Peyton throwing the ball to him.

  • @DrunkenHippo14 so what? does that mean Marvin Harrison's career achievements mean nothing? What about Reggie Wayne?

He picked up right where he left off in college, where he had Max Hall throwing to him, who sucked very badly that year, he constantly stared down whoever he was throwing to

  • @hilliard34 who the hell is mike mayock, the only two real experts are Todd McShay and Kiper

  • @taffyowner917 mcshay is retarded. mayock is a genius only second to mel kiper. mike mayock predicted cutler as a star and i have a ton of respect for the guy. mcshay is trash

  • @HiLiteKing Mel Kiper is one of the biggest pieces of shit to ever talk about football... Only second to you.

  • @KidCordova Regardless of how you feel about him he is "The Godfather" of the NFL Draft and all draftniks owe him a debt of gratitude for helping to make it the event that it is today.

  • the draft would be just fine without Kiper or any of the other fake experts. he doesn't even get half of his picks right. You should have seen how red his face got when Tebow went in the first. Kiper is a tool and so are the rest of the so called draft "experts". Their boards look nothing like the real scouts, and its just to entertain dumb fans who think people outside of the football organizations hav4e a clue of what they are talking about. Scouts have called guys like McShay a tool

  • @dwid1984 I agree. McShay and Kiper are tools. they dont know shit. Kiper needs to be fired. hes wrong every single year

  • @dwid1984 being wrong sucks, especially when it's due to an ignorant opinion and not actual research. Over the last 5 years, Kiper is #3 among experts, doing better than SCOUTS INC, (yes, the actual scouts you claimed knew more)

This is over, you've proven you know nothing about Kiper, and you've also proven youre one of those idiots who thinks he's smarter than the man. Stop hating on him for no reason, stop listening to what other idiots say.

man is a genius. end dicussion

    "-kiper fanboy"

  • Looks like he plays with a chip on his shoulder too. I love it! He could definitely be a #2 or #3 on the Ravens

  • I think he'll do well in the NFL. Whoever ends up with him will not be sorry.

  • the best wr in cfb this past season too bad he got hurt

  • the best hands in NCAA. a poor man's Reggie wayne.

  • Doesn't seem like too much of a threat after the catch but has good hands.

  • thats because his qb sucked and couldn't anticipate him being open, so when he had a step or two on a db he usually had to slow down to catch the ball because weber waited too long to throw it, or underthrew it

  • @dwid1984 Weber doesn't totally suck. He can be pretty good, but he's hit-or-miss. Definitely not of the caliber Decker will enjoy in the NFL. I really hope he picks football over baseball.

  • Great highlights and a really well put together video. Great job man!

  • Sweet stuf!

  • hes a beast
