The edifice is magnificent; the location is ill-advised. I mean, it's basically on the cliff. If you have some ground movements, the whole structure would tumble into the nearby sea.

Nicely build/drawn but I see some major flaws:

The glass causes, a lot of heat in the summertime. In winter: a lot of energy/money will go towards heating. Window cleaners? jesus... And having sex/sleaping/being in front of windows 24/7 would make me a bit uncomfortable. A home should be your "safe area" where you feel save. But i dig the look, definitely!

so durch 3-fachem Isolierglas, Markisen und es gibt auch Glas wo man nicht in's Innere sehen kann...nur nach draussen. Das Projekt ist ästhetisch wie auch praktisch machbar.

Solche Architektur wird sich immer mehr durchsetzen und dieses Haus ist ein Kunstwerk...höchstes Kompliment an den Architekten! Das Kompliment kommt von einem Architekten...und der muss es ja wissen!

From my perspective this seems like a nice design for a work of art but not so much a home..

If it were up to me I would forget about the huge glass ceilings and the long thin shape and instead ask myself - does the entertaining area flow? How would a family using the house live? Where would they congregate?

I think if you do that you'll find that a huge scale and artistic shape like you've got can actually be harmful to the main goal the house.

Im sure some people will like that house, but for me it is just so bland and heartless. It screams out money rather than good architecture. The curved shape also makes it look difficult to arrange your living furniture in any good way.

Many people are not reading the information attached with the video. This villa has 2 types of blinds, one of them for complete black out, which are controlled through a remote, and do not show when they are not in use. Therefore people living here do have privacy and can watch a movie if they close the blinds.

This house is beautiful; but, it is not practical to live in. So much expose to sunlight. Not energy efficient home even thought he said it is, I can tell it's not. When you design a home, energy efficient is the first priority as well as function. You can easily get skin cancer from this home from expose to sunlight.

The house is quite beautiful but there really is a lot of wasted space, It would be much better to have the wall of windows on possibly only 40% of the outside wall and do some solid walls off the back to bring in more space.

@fhurb I think we should view this in the context that it would be used for, not the average upper middle class house of the future but a ultra rich luxury vacation home and in that it makes more sense.

I sure wouldn't want to be in that thing in bad weather and to be honest without a roof helopad or a private jet within minutes of a fast escape because of warning from a early warning tsunami system.

I wonder what the designer was thinking, it reminds me of that house on galaxy quest.
