power on your hv20, push function, go down to the last option ( called menu ) click it, once in that menu go to the second option down ( called rec/ in setup ) and the first option shouldn show you what you are recording egL HDV = 50/60i or it might say PF24 or PF25 depending on your camera. regards Marty.

No, 60i is 29.97 intelaced fps - 50i is 25 interlaced fps - 24p is 23.976 progressive fps - 25p is 25 progressive fps.

it depends on wich model hv20/hv30 you haven, either the NTSC version or the PAL version.
