  • "The best 4x4 built in the United States" is a pretty bold statement. Though this video was helpful, it seemed more like a Jeep commercial than an actual test.

  • I gotta say I love jeep and I also love Labd rovers. The jeep seems like the poormans land rover with a higher reliability

  • Home run on this cherokee. Very sharp looking and solid off road. Agree with jace132 I wish harder tests were shown in this video.

  • Four people never owned a Jeep. :)

  • If money was no object, I'd take the Grand Cherokee Overland with all the features. I like the Quadralink suspension and both Powertrains work well here with the Pentastar and HEMI. You can't lose with either.

  • Land Rover has similar systems that don't work as well, plus land rovers are notoriously unreliable. It's not even a competition ...Jeep all day long!

  • Im a big cherokee fan 1998 5.9 however what these guys are doing is not off-roading.... all they are doing is following a two-track.

  • @jace142 We have to disagree. There were plenty of steep, deep and rocky trails for us to test the Jeep

  • you guys do know that all that tech your praising is blatantly stolen from Land rover..right??

  • @drally04 FYI: The Jeep engineers would seriuosly disagree with that.

  • @romanmicagearguy ofcourse they would

  • @romanmicagearguy not trying to be spiteful, sure u love ur American work horse{jeep}when u go on about”Oh it got independent suspension.Oh you just turn a knob.Oh hill descent control.Oh adjustable height”all these exact systems first appeared on a lr3 in 2005.ur motoring enthusiasts u should know this.By then.Where was jeep?Give credit where it’s due, don’t blindly defend the brand just cause ur infatuated with it.that said your videos are entertaining and the jeep is cool.yes!

  • @drally04 Jeep made it all work better though. But I don't need any of that fancy shit. I am happy with my Quadradrive II setup in my Commander.

  • @drally04 The idea is taken from Land Rover, but it is built by Dhaimler Benz the oldest car maker in the world.

  • @MercedesBenzFan7 Fiat now. lol but they just own them and I dont see them changing much anytime soon. lol

  • @drally04 actually it's on the chassis of a mercedes m-class you moron

  • @drally04 STFU

  • yea jeeps are cool and all, and sense its cheaper my mother is looking at one, but my 2006 LR3 could beat that 2011 jeep any day, and anywhere. and that hill assist, yea Land Rover was first to come out with all that in 2005. so even though jeep copied, well tried i should say, Land Rover wins.

  • u could always put bigger tires on it

  • I love it

  • wow HID headlamps

  • In your opinion do you think the 2wd Grand Cherokee would have at least decent off road capability? I'm not talking about serious mudding, just common off road handling. Any help would be great!

  • I would love to see a still stand up hill climb.

  • why is there no trail rated badge on the side of that jeep??

  • intro song name please?

  • @DevPack The music they use is from Garage Band

  • @PurpleCrazyUmkazto the song has a name though...............

  • no 4 lo no lockers

    its a girlie truck

  • i don't mean to offend but you look like the guy from "forgetting sarah marshall" with those sunglasses on

  • Why don't these Yankee retards at Chrysler MAKE A GODDAMN DIESEL ENGINE FOR THIS

  • @flip92 because they don't want to include all the best features in the car yet. Because if they made this model amazing in every category, why would anyone ever buy the 2012 cherokee? Do you understand what I'm saying?- they need to leave room for improvements to entice buyers to buy future models instead of just keeping the ones they already have.

  • @flip92 they do make diesels now

  • @flip92

It's not the retarded Yankees, it's our retarded government they makes the pollution standard on diesels so high and hence expensive to meet, that no one will risk bringing one to the states. There are plenty of diesels here.. but all are heavy duty trucks. Only cars are VW, Mercedes, BMW. We cant even get a diesel SMART CAR.. but you can in Canada.

  • Not bad, i would take this over an Explorer ANYDAY!

  • That Jeep's seems to be really cool from what i saw . It will come up here in Europe this March so far i know. Would like to see that in person some day.

BTW, I watched a lot your guy's videos. You doing a great job , fresh, diffrent, by far not as boring than other carstuff that's out there ! Keep it up.

  • @BernDPeter Thanks for the kind words about our videos....they are much appreciated.

  • GRAND CHEROKEE CAN DOOO ALL!! LIke What The COmmerical Said..... ITLL GET U THERE!!

  • I can just picture all the world leaders driving these now. Hah its good to see somebody using a Jeep for what a Jeep was intended for.

  • Nice video

  • I have a 22 foot North River River Commander jet boat. I think it probably weighs about 6000-6500 lbs on the trailer. Will the V8 model struggle to pull this boat? I know its supposed to be able to tow 7400 lbs, but its likely that if I gotta pull the boat up a long ramp (likely during the summer) or over the mountain to fish different lakes. Also, Im concerned with how the vehicle would ride when the boat is hitched to it. But I really do like this vehicle alot!

  • looks like a field to me lol 1:05

  • For all those idiots that are Range Rover fans I got news for you!!! Its a british company that failed many times and now its owned by TaTa a Indian company!!

    Go Jeep!!! USA USA USA

  • @nima99 Jeep is owned by an Italian company.

  • @mose0092

haha man i laughed so hard...what an idiot !

  • @nima99 jeep was owned by germans recently and is now owned by Italians,so what's yer point??????

  • @scotsmaninusa They don't fully own Chrysler, they own shares (I believe its about a 1/4 and they have the choice to own up to %50 if they succeed in paying the government back). Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep are all still designed, engineered, and produced in North America for the most part (obviously still some factories in Mexico and Canada)

  • @DodgeMan360 my reply was to nima99 for making out range rovers are crap as they are owned by a foreign company.chrysler was owned by Germans??? I suppose if yer german it's not foreign ha ha.but anyway, fiat may only own 25% shares now but they have total say in production as fiats Sergio Marchionne is now the chrysler boss.also they can't own more than 49% till the government loan is paid back.

I test drove the V6 overland last week, what a brilliant machine.

  • @scotsmaninusa They're doing a much better job then Daimler, Daimler "Drove Chrysler off a cliff" as Lee Iacocca said.

  • @DodgeMan360 exactly!, daimler pretty much raped chrysler and hurt them pretty badly, when afterwards they even claimed that it was chrysler that hurted them, i'm german and it upsetted me very much what daimler did to them, first taking advantage of the good things and then leaving them in the dust. i wish them (chrysler of course) well and i sense that they are in for a comeback after many years of hardships and troubles. greets from germany. :)

  • @DodgeMan360 true that !! plus now it has been mainly fiat to take things from chrysler. talk about the "lancia thema 2011" lol, what a stupid idea, i just hope that the americans won't let fiat run and ruin the show foor good, as i don't see anything good to come from fiat having the say at chrysler. like i said earlier. chrysler need not another "daimler" again.

  • @gardmans1 And we are all entitled to our own opinion (thank god for that).

  • @gardmans1 I will tell you what, you spend $50-60,000 on a range rover and I will put the same amount into my $2,600 xj and see who wins in all categories. At least I don't have to worry about my jeep getting a scratch on it or a dent or mud or any other offroad problem.

  • @gardmans1 and is so much more expensive, and wayyyy more than i paid for my jeep xj.

  • Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was hit with flash floods due to rain last week. I haven't seen a single Jeep (or other any other American SUV) effected, but I did see two dead Range Rovers.

  • Chrysler??? I think it´s FIAT now...

  • the one guy looks like a walrus

  • Sorry to bust your bubble Jeep fanboys, but your Grand Cherokee will always be inferior to the Range Rover.

  • @CusK77 Anybody can claim anything they want....but then you gotta back it up with some facts.

  • @CusK77 Just where do you think the Range Rover's inspiration came from?? RR's are fine if you wanna look like a metrosexual butt pirate. Otherwise you should always pick a jeep.

  • @tripleheshy The Range Rover's inspiration came from the original Land Rover Defender, the best off road vehicle ever made. Although yes, today's Range Rover sucks everywhere thats not on a paved road.

  • @AlexDeMars123 1942. The first Willy's Jeep. It truly was the first off road vehicle. The Defender, although great, started in the 80's if memory serves. You simply wouldn't have a RR of a LR were it not fot the Willy's. The British even admit as much today.

  • @tripleheshy

I like jeeps. and like lr too. Lr started because a farmer in uk was tired of trying to get parts for his williys.

So he decided with spare parts of planes and cars to make his own williys.... that my friend is when LR started. He called it the defender, and it was in 1948 not the 80s.

    good day alex.

  • @jose93vv Good point.

  • @CusK77 Range Rover will never catch up to Jeep.

  • Just got an Overland yesterday and LOVE IT. My wife and I drove it for the weekend and made it official yesterday. The 5.7 HEMI is a Monster! Most full size Ford trucks only have a 5.4. I kept having to tell myself to slow down because the thing is SO Strong. I am 6'5" and have more than enough room in the front and back seats. I have 2000 GC and it sits in the garage right next to the 2011. It looks tiny compared to the new one. Bottom line. LOVE IT.

  • una nota esta camioneta

  • Love the car.. will definitely consider it next time I'm in for a car.

  • @dvdr1111 fck u mother fucker are crazy dumb asss the fcking jeep of yours scks ass because my grangler was turned into a hemi v8 bitch jajaja asshole

  • @mountain885 you are an idiot lalalalalalalalalalalalalal you are an idiot lalalalalalalalalalalalala you are an idiot lalalallalalalalallalalalal

  • fuck offroading.. i wouldnt wanna get dat shit dirty lol

  • some "offroad facility" hahahahaha....... look at those major ruts!

  • Even with 4 wheel independent suspension it still is awesome it's going to destroy the explorer

  • I dont know, I have an 06 grand cherokee, this looks too honda pilotish to me...I dont know

  • That's an awesome video. I love this Jeep.

  • Nice car but the jeep wranglerX and the rubicon will kick the shit of the cherokee

  • @mountain885 bitch I have beat EVERY wrangler I have gone against, even this douche bag with a 305 chevy v8! All with my little I6 cherokee, learn something before you talk bitch.

  • @mountain885 Yeah but this will kick the shit out of them on road.

  • my next SUV

  • nice design, i still love the 2010 dsign too. i wonder how the srt8 will look like

  • @utubeyaw Same with a stiffer suspension if they decide to make more. Either way it's an ugly bastartized Grand Cherokee v.v This test however would not suit the SRT-8 as it is made for on-road performance.

  • @killbotexe they will just lower it for the srt trim, and the srt trim isnt made for offroad so maybe the body kit might change things.

  • @utubeyaw Quite, but you would want either a massive lift, or changing the trim would be recommended.
