@Zerobadniks yeah.. california had sonic boom. i live in new york. thats like saying a china man wanting to go to summer of sonic. its just too far and not accessible to everyone. had sonic boom been in like chicago illinois, somewhere in the middle of the US, then everyone might have had a chance.

Yeah but Sonic Boom was a lot closer to SEGA HQ of America just like Summer of Sonic where the SOS event is a lot closer to SEGA HQ of Europe.

@FireGXLOL Cheaper to fly from NYC to LAX than it is from China to London. How do you know this person is rich? Jumping to conclusions there a little bit. SEGA no doubt chose LA for Sonic Boom as it was E3 week and it could guarantee a large turnout there. I don't think you could have had it anywhere else, at least not as an experiment to see if it's possible to make an annual event out of it. Case in point, there was (an unofficial) Sonic convention last year in Texas. Nobody went.
