I get that people would see Anne as prude. I mean yeah she seemed kind of like that, a little overdramatic to me as well, but to me that's just her. She is different, she's independent and knew how to stand up for herself. She wouldn't take any BS, even if Gilbert was joking. I think that's good, to see her evolve through the years, into a softer more lovable character. But I like her here now, she's hilarious and strong. Can I say girl power?

@nataliecat190 It is her dance card, which would have the list of men how she would be dancing with at the dance. It was a custom they had back then. It was seen as romantic for Gilbert to take it because then she wouldn't dance with anyone.

LOL Anne and Gilbert are the ultimate romance - always perfect together, it never gets old to see these films in a whole sitting or in parts! Awesome editing, this had to be kinda tough. It almost made the Anne character unlikeable for me, her treatment of Gilbert. He obviously isn't a bully, and truly likes her; she should've gotten over it sooner. Most guys, especially attractive ones, would've moved on long ago - the hits on the ego wouldn't be worth it. Gil is a keeper, for sure.

Thank you for making this movie! I love Anne and Gilbert, especially in movie nr. 2 when Gilbert ask Anne to marry him after his been sick and he look soooooo handsome! I've seen the movies countless times and I love Gilbert in that role, he looks soo adorebly in the first movie and the second he looks sooooo handsome and that voice, uh, my good! I think that in the last movie they waited to long to suit it, and Anne had lost her dressing stile, and that is to bad!

There were three TV Movies that were made. The first one was Anne of Green Gables, then Anne of Green Gables The Sequal and the last one was Anne of Green Gables The Continuing Story.

Because the movies are longer than regular 2 hour ones, they are usually shown at two separate times on TV. So you probably watched the second part of the first movie since that is where those scenes are from.

At that time it was customary for every lady to have a dance card, which she would fill with dances with various gentlemen who asked her for a dance. Since it is assumed that Gilbert took the card, Diana thinks it is romantic because it would mean that Gilbert did not want anyone else to dance with Anne.
