i find if hard to compare this beautiful song to anything else or before.. to all those ppl that say ,usic was better when they were around in the 60 and 70s
Actually, this song incorporates many qualities typical of a 60s hit. Those formulas still worked in the 90s, and even today, though they've become rather rarely employed.
Remind me some wonderful years when i was still student... Just too amazing every time i hear it! Very emotional!!! A music masterpiece of our generation!
@geneen2008 No so, I've followed the Manics since Gold Against the Soul, my fav track is "The girl who wanted to be God. Not released as a single, but a fantastic song off a decent album. Just remember who you are talking to when you post comments. There are a lot of very knowledgable Manic fans out there...
good video. possibly better than the original. That's the escalator up the mid-levels where i used to live in HK.Christ, I used to listen to this song going up there everyday, day after day, after work about 12 years ago.. A very suitable location for a hymn to alienation, despair, circulated capitalism, monotony, etc..good job..
Absolutely one of the most brilliant songs of the last 2 decades. The Manics are touching every nerve in your spine with raging guitarsounds and convincing voices of James Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire.
2 words LOVE IT!!!! even i like it and im 15 years old. Kids my age listen to freaking Justin Bieber. I dont understand why everyone thinks hes so good i like this WAY more
I wonder why this song was not a "real" worldwide smash hit. It was popular, yes, but I think it diserved more success. Absolutely brilliant like the whole album "generation terrorists".
Hey I don't know if it was you who made the video/editing but I really love it
Thanks for posting

@gluuu Similar chord sequence yes, would probably make a nice mash-up. I'm always reminded of this when I listen to 'with or without you' by U2
