Overland brass runs like shit? How many do you have? i have a few and they run very well. The are pull well, are well detailed. As for cost, they are not overpriced. They a well worth the money i spend on them, and I run all mine. I'm not a collector. You are making some very broad statements, which I feel are based on little or no facts. Some people trash Overland because they can not afford them.

haha yeah right. i trash overland because they are to stupid to realize that if they lowered their prices, maybe more people would buy. and i also decided to wait because i knew someobody else would come out with the sd70ace's and sure enough, kato did for about $400 cheaper. and not to mention, im getting the ho scale sd70ace's from mth which have way more options and have sound and dcc and still arent outragous. not to mention that they look better. so do bad you couldve saved a lot of money

I can afford to buy Overland Models, saving money is of little concern, If I get value from my money. overlands arn't overpriced. there just out of most peoples price ranges. they make these outta brass and other high Q stuff so i kinda adds up to that high price. I used to have an old brass SP 4-4-2 until i sold it and i will say brass is worht the money.

i love sd70ace's too kato's have been pushed back to mid 09 now for relase.but i do have them all on order....as for now, type ksons in youtube.mine is the first train that is in the list...3 ac4400's and 30 autoracks.i can't wait to pull them with the ace's..nice to see young people in to model trains you go and you have good taste in loco's too.

The Overland model is HO, Kato is releasing the SD70Ace's in N Scale, MTH trains is releasing them in HO, You can pre-order the MTH on the Caboose Hobbies website, I model in both HO and N Scale and I just placed my pre-order for the SP1996 and UP 8424
