Oblivion was just a whole lot less interesting then the Skyrim and Morrowind. I believe it was the fact that it was more grounded in realism. Instead of crazy creatures roaming around you get bears and wolves and maybe once a while a minotaur but thats it. Morrowind and skyrim just have that mysterious feel that just makes you want to keep playing until you know everything and have been everywhere and Oblivion doesn't do that.

Skyrim and morrowind both have some of the greatest environmental design in video games. In Morrowind, I can't explain it, but the world was so interesting and diverse and i just wanted to keep exploring and see all of the cool stuff. Oblivion, every cave and dungeon looked the same. In Skyrim I really want to see everything again, its all so diverse and interesting. It would be great if they would remake morrowind with better graphics and combat, like the combat in Skyrim.
@kunfupanda1231 that's not true. For example the reason all GameCube games are playable on the Wii is because the Wii has all of the GameCube hardware built in. the 360 is different. Instead it runs OG Xbox games with emulators. I checked Wikipedia and (asuming you live in north america) Morrowind is compatible with NTSC 360's with some glitches.

2) My point was that Crytec used a city environment in order to make the reduction in view distance (for consoles) less noticable. Crytec stated this in an interview. In a jungle environment (eg Crysis 1) a lower view distance would be extremely noticable. Lower view distance = better performance
3) This is why you cant look round in any direction in crysis 2 and see almost infinitely like u can in Crysis 1
i like how on the xbox theres no concept of the "system" the game is running on. the game looks good without the constant need to update your graphics card. the xbox iand it sucsessor are solid systems. pc nerds, don't rip the shit out of me, just puttin my argument into the ring.

Morrowind is actually the second biggest game ever! The biggest one is the Elder Scrolls Daggerfall with over 5000 places to explore and find and over 75.000 NPCs!
@MegaNichtlustig I just started Daggerfall on my laptop and I nearly crapped my pants when I looked at the world map and zoomed in on all the places. It's crazy, but awesome.
Guys even nearly a decade ago spending 200 hours on a game meant it was pretty effing huge and had something very important going for it. So, I don't think when he said "only 200 hours" he was being serious at all.

Bethesda has always shipped buggy games for pc. Great games --but buggy as ass ever since way back in Arena and Daggerfall. That only changed when they got the deal with Xbox. So, it's funny that the first thing mentioned as a difference between pc and console is the lack of bugs. I'm glad Bethesa got their *s* worked out.

Xbox has better controls, PC has better capabilities with it's modding and such (this includes the graphics mods). I like this better than Oblivion and even then I've played through Oblivion numerous times and think that is also a great game. Either way, the Elder Scrolls series, and any version of a game in the series is amazing. Some people like console, some like PC, some like both.

it really isn't such a big deal to be arguing about, but if you play games just for the graphics, you are really missing the point of video games. The big advantage of the pc is that you have mods, you can completely transform the game.

@lektric007 I may not be a PC gamer but even im not stupid enough to think that consoles are better PC has been and always will be superior. And like i said I AM NOT A PC GAMER. But i do know that pcs are better. I honestly and most likely would of been a pc gamer if i wasn't so broke growing up. And the reason i don't play pc games now is because i've had way to many good memories playing splitscreen on console with all my buddys. And to switch to pc would feel weird to me. It to late for me :(

This game sucks big dick. Not just cause of the graphics because the attack system is shit, the loading time are way to long, it lags constantly, and the controls are horrible. Great quests though. Story is really good. This game was ok for its time. Oblivion was ok. decent story, loved the attack system better than morrowind, But the graphics for Oblivion were fucking horrible compared to Morrowind. (Everything beyond this point isnt suppost to be a joke)... Skyrim is going to be boss.!!!

this is the greatest game of all time!!! i like oblivion but after playing it i have to say morrowind is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better. i love this game my friends and i even learned how to read the writing on the scrolls :D i recommend anyone who plays this to go find the scamp named creeper and become incredibly rich! also become a vampire so you can use icarian flight and live lmao you stay in mid-air for like 10 minutes though ahahahahahaha
