Nascar 08 Restrictor Plate or what?

I had a glitch at daytona where my car's restrictor plate apparently disappeared and I was going 245 mph and lapping the whole field

You changed gear at 7200 rpm, that's call a gearbox... It's not the restrictor plate - you have to change gear anyway with that particular set-up and it's done to avoid doing 20 gallon per mile or blowing the engine. Therefore, it's call, take manual gear box next time!

look at the speed in actual nascar once a car reaches that same speed or very close the restrictor plate restricts airflow preventing the car from lifting up off the ground don't you ppl watch nascar at dytona and talledega, listen to the anouncers during pratice and qualifying.

Well the old car would the Car of Tomorrow wouldn't as it's already running almost 9'000 rpm with restrictor plate and the old car did the same speed with 7'200 rpm with the restrictor plate sot eh COT would probably only do about 215-220 without the restrictor plate.
