Why did Obama have to insert Israel into honouring Jewish Americans? There are many Jewish Americans who are against the apartheid state of Israel and it's a shame that whenever Jews are mentioned that they have to be dragged down by Israel too.
At 5:12 Obama talks about being against racism and segregation and being for democracy and then he mentions Israel as the "Jewish homeland". I wonder how all the Arab Israelis feel about that. Israel is the complete opposite of what Obama said it is.

But a sad fact of the matter is that Muslim nations have a high rate of extremist and terrorist sympathizers. Whether this is a result of coercion or sincerly held religious beleifs is secondary. When you have the majority of a population of a country that supports global conquest, you have an issue worth confronting. Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, etc.

The stipulations made in that holy book are literal and direct. Apostasy means death. Unbelievers are damned to hellfire. Islam is the one true faith. Death must be dealt to those who criticize Islam. Muslims can only be moderate so far as they choose to ignore their holy text.

Indeed, the only reason we don't see Christians engage in conquest and subjugation of non-Christians, The holding of captured girls as sex slaves, the stoning of disobedient sons, Slave owning, etc. is because Christians don't read the bible any more. If they do, they pick and choose whatever verses fit their preconceived notion or morality, and call them divine. This is not generally the case in the Muslim world.

The muslims at my school were real happy that week, and muslims were celebrating throughout the Middle east. I'm not so sure anymore the majority of muslims condemn violence against non-believers.
