@planbsk8er891 I read in wikipedia:Dthis sport is closer to soocer than to icehockey and the pitch ist big like a soccer pitch the rules are almost like soccer rules(like soccer offside) 2x45 minutes to play(like soccer) with cornerkicks(like soccer ,too)and the net is 3,10x2,40 big

@planbsk8er891 Bandy, a lot easier to play with friends if you go to an open ice rink with snow on the sides. Me and my friends usually do that here in sweden.

Been at my first Bandy Match on Friday, Eliteserien, Hammarby - Örebro. And really, that great sports got a new fan.

Like the perfect crossing of ice hockey and football (I know it's older than ice hockey for instance), great, great sports!

And perfectly unsuitable for TV coverage, a fact that I really like ;).

there are lots of differences...

instead of 6 on 6, its 11 on 11. instead of inside, they play outside, on a much bigger field (the size of a football field). different stick, and they use a ball instead of a puck. goalkeepers have no sticks at all, and the goals are bigger (little bigger than handball goals). it's also less physical than ice hockey.

Bandy is one of the most exciting sports in the world. Im sad not more people know about it. I play on the USA U17 national team and I hope to be playing against Russia in the final in a few years.
