This is the Devo only a handful of us knew and loved . People used to laugh at us and Utter WE ARE DEVO. Then when WHip It played on mtv these same fools were devo fans they thought.Just like early b52s and loveshack many missed the real energy and fun of both bands.

of Florida in Gainesville and they were great.  One thing that rarely gets

mentioned about Devo is their musicianship. Strip all the visuals, special

effects, etc. away and they were a terrific rock band.

The spuds started shedding the 3D glasses earlier on in the show in 79, the 3D glasses were the best prop ever. Every video ive seen of Alan drumming for this song, he reaches over and pops the helmet off. Which he does do here. i belive at 3:08. He always seemed to be the little brother in the band, in candid shots, he was always sorta off to the side, Alan was a great drummer.

That vid is the DB's. Was into DEVO from their earliest vids but remember seeing this on Old Grey Whistle Test in UK, recording it in VHS and wearing out the player from watching it so many times.  Fantastic!
