I used to be a regular lurker and occasional commenter over at LGF, but I started to see Charles get stuck in a rut with the creationist and fascist things, then really come off the rails. I went back recently and was horrified to see the place looking like Kos, possibly even crazier. I gave a "thumbs down" vote on a particularly loopy thread - no flame, not even a comment - and was banned for my sins.
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight... razor... and surviving.
Charles has utterly lost it. He bans people right and left, just for disagreeing with him even in a polite and non-threatening way.
He has craven, self-satisfied and hyper-aware henchmen (or henchwomen) such as Sharmuta or ice weasel to run interference for him and perform inquisitions on those who take exception to the LGF party line, useful to Charles because he bans after the inquisitors have done their work.
Little wonder that conservatives of all kinds are now totally fed up with him.
LGF had turned into an openly leftist blog, even rabidly so. I suspect Johnson has always been a lib, he woke up for a short time after 9/11, and now back in his pink/red comfort zone. I was banned for saying something against his beloved president Obama.
LGF was the first blog I ever read. For a long time now I've been going there for the reader posted links rather than the content. With so many of the posters banned, the site's getting worthless.
I have been a LGF subscriber for a long time and i have enjoyed the website a lot.
But in the last several months to my amazement and disappointment, LGF has become increasingly weird, annoying even, acusing people of being racists, calling people that have beliefs that Charles does not share, nut-jobs,etc.
The website has become...i think the word "venomous" is the most appropriate to describe it, so i gave it up.
@eddiebear1, WotanKrieger = you two need to get a life. Seriously. Go out for drinks or something.
