Guys, I'm 62. Dealing with fatigue from chemo and trying to push myself to finish a freeflight powerhouse adapted to RC. Thought I might absorb some of your energy. Okay, you aren't Martin and Lewis but you both are a hoot. Watched every episode and you two take me to a place that is fun and safe and where you never grow old. Love the show and all the care put into each episode. Kudos. Don Tremain.

Hey guys, I know this isn'tyour last video but I wantto comment because it would be great if we could have an interview via skype. You know...I'm from Argentina and I have a programm that is cold "SimandrealNEWS and it would be great to have you with us.Only to speak about your programm and your hobbies and yeah....
Very Nice Taylorcraft 450, and nice flying Josh, do they have a model with wind up rubber bands for the other Josh to fly,,, LOL, he is so dying to get something up in the air,,, LOL
A BEC is usually a feature of the electronic speed control (ESC), the battery elimination circut (BEC) takes power from the motor battery, typically 6V or higher and steps it down to around 5V and delivers this to the reciever and servos. This "eliminates" the need for a second battery of the right voltage just for the receiver/servos. While ESCs and BECs are usually combined into one unit, it is possible to buy them as seperate components.
@furspiel I think it's advertised as a heli esc. But I bought six of them and I've been using them in many different planes that I own. The only thing that may need adjusted is the timing, depending on your motor's KV rating. You can program it with the Turnigy programming card.
Great review guys, I hate to be an anorak but I've got to pick you both up on something: You're both wrong on one fact, the aircraft in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom that you refer to wasn't a DC3 either - It was a Ford Trimotor...
Getting new blood into the AMA is difficult when the pitch comes from someone between overweight-just-past-mid-life crisis and retiree-crumudgeon. btw-I have considerable branding experience with some large US companies and branding firms, and make a living consulting. The AMA needs to sign you guys up for it's masportaviator site now, but only if they let you do your thing your way.
My only critique would be to consider your target audience and adjust the amount of coverage, detail, information for that audience, be it newbie, intermediate, advanced, or all of the above.
Additionally I'll say this. The AMA ought to be calling you guys ASAP. They want to build membership and reach out to a younger demographic and you guys are a perfect way to do that.
@rgurala747 thank you! Were pretty happy with the quality as well. We use the canon 5d mark II with mainly a Zeiss 50mm lens. Editing on final cut pro and doing occasional graphics in after effects.
another great show, thanks guys, your reviews are really fun to watch..., really like the inflight vids...good job with the piloting too. And about the plane, i like the Taylorcraft, looks very nice...easy to fly too i think, but not really my style...i´m more of a warbird fan :)
Mate, forget Indian jones movies! Your video looks stunningly vibrant!! Do you mind telling me the camera and further Edit softwares used in filming please?
@OghamTheBold We're planning on doing a segment on just landing soon. Josh's tight approach looks impressive on video... but even more impressive in person! That guy is an amazing pilot. It was only his second time flying that plane.
@flitetest thats great. Thank you for considering my suggestion. cant wait for the review. (remember a review tells boath good and bad sides of a item)
@tehlump My earlier response was an attempt at sarcastic humor. I wasn't calling you mean. I hope I didn't make you feel bad. None of us took offense to your comment. We're having a lot of fun with the show and we appreciate eveyone's input. You are right though… the director is mean! ;-)

I like landings - shame we don't see more - I know they are the most dangerous part of the flight - but that makes them the most exciting
I liked the tight approach - another near ground dangerous manoeuvre - but again it's the exciting part

@tehlump We don't like to refer to Josh Scott (Newbie) as dumb or stupid (that's just mean)... we'd rather refer to him as naively confident. :-)
The number one request we get is to let him fly. it'll happen... it just needs to be the right time.
