A friend and I have scouted about a dozen old foundations and schools between Almond and Friendship. We've got them GPS marked and have started hunting them on the weekends. Interested in coming along?
@IamMohawk - it's solid metal - too heavy to be a stone. But, then again, I don't know what it is other than a cannon shot. So, I'm open to ideas..Thanks.
this video is awsome, we used to have lots of grouse around here but i hav'nt seen one here in years now. just the bird made this hunt the best video i have ever seen. thanks for this and keep it up.
It took awhile to find the right bird - there's so many of them! Thanks..Bruce
The Ruffed Grouse, is a medium-sized grouse occurring in forests across Canada and the Appalachian Mountains and northern United States including Alaska. It is non-migratory.
The RG is frequently called the partridge. This leads to confusion with the Grey Partridge, which was introduced to Canada from Europe. The RG is only distantly related to the Grey Partridge, which is a bird of open areas, not woodlands.
I woulda kept the grouse!!! He is awsome

@clevmartin - I tried to feed it crackers, etc. It's only interest was to attack me. Maybe it did have a nest nearby - don't know for sure.
